what lens did you used for this macro?

It's a tamron 90mm macro lens. However, i'm returning it, I just bought it last week and it seems to arrive to me defective

Im returning it because its pretty much non functional for me in manual mode, and i think its from a defective product. it also makes weird noises and seems to be getting worse so i expect it will just break soon..not gonna take the chance of it breaking a month after the return limit is over.
i dont think its necessarily the lens that was the problem, when amazon shipped it to me they did not blow up all of the bubble inserts so it was able to slide back and forth in the box on its way here,so it was likely damaged then.
I'm not going to take the chance though, so i just shelled out the extra money for the canon 100mm >< Gave Tamron a chance and im pretty upset with what happened
