A lot of the time, I have a clear-cut plan laid out for each of my art pieces. I know exactly where I want them to go and how I'm going to get them there. But once in a while, I come across a piece like this that sort of has a mind of its own. In these cases, I have no idea where it's going to end up or what it's going to look like. It sort of creates itself and morphs into something completely different from what I was imagining. This was one of those pieces. I don't know what inspired me to paint this one, but I love the result. There's something about the combination of hot and cold colors that just makes a piece strikingly different than anything else...
