Oh dear I loooooove this. I love it so much that I am ignoring the unexpected dark eyes. That are surprisingly compelling, the longer I look at them....can I ask, do you start with standard materials and paper and then move to software? Or is all of this composed on a computer or other device?

I don't see him as dark eyed, actually, the poor dear just turned out that way here.
I only started with paper then scanned the sketch and finished with software in my first month experimenting with drawing. But it seemed so wasteful and unnecessary, that after a while I drew everything using the software and tablet. So yes, all my art is done purely on the computer. The great advantage has been that I can erase and re-do whatever goes wrong. The disadvantage is that I've never really developed skills with traditional materials, and my sketching still sucks.Β

It definitely depends on the lenght or the weapon 
but of course it would love less majestic if all the elven warriors worse long braids. Especially for the wood elves in the hobbit. I consider magic as an explanation why they didn't end up tangled in trees and bushes

This looks quite stunning, not only his hair-do - which definetly seems more practical for battle, but also the design of the armour, the different layers and the little details. I actually like that you did not use the flower as his symbol everywhere but only in a few prominent spots. Great work!

Thank you! This being the Third Age, I felt he would onlyΒ retain one or two little reminders of the House of the Golden Flower. I meant to make this a quick sketch and be rough with the armour, but once I started I couldn't stop... so I'm glad you like the details.
