Eduard Herberger (Eddie) is one of my players characters in the Cthulhu campaign I'm running. The German came to the United States not too long ago to escape his horrific past in Europe. A former journalist and author of several newspaper columns, he has experienced things in Europe, especially in his native Germany, that scratched at his sanity, and Eddie never talks about it. Although the Berliner is an intellectual, he earns some extra money here and there by showing off his skills as a boxer in the boxing ring. Not that he likes doing that, but after the publishing house he worked for parted company with him after he was deemed to be crazy and out of touch with reality, the money had to come from somewhere. He is now trying to build a new future in America and hopes that people here will believe his story.
