Description Behold ladies and gents, my very own Generator Blade!

In the sword's housing is a small "generator" which produces an electrical current to run through the sword's blade.

This came together from another random doodle session at work and I really like this one. I like it so much that this one is mine. I do plan on doing other generator blade models that can produce different effects. In the meantime, enjoy and feel free to comment/critique as you feel necessary.

Colored version to come sometime this week.

I like to think that slowly but surely I'm getting better in my designs. Appreciate the comments

That's pretty cool! Even if I quote precedent comms, I think there are good bases here; and you can also see other ways to make it swing properly if it's real: yes the blade could be longer, but what if the sleeve is longer? An hast weapon. Probably the handle shouldn't be too long because of the weight of the generator... But well, it's just a short reflection, do what you want of it ^^

a peculiar concept i have drawn before though mine was waveform sword (similar to a Kris blade) out of curiosity do you plan these weapon designs as if you would make them because its easier to think of it as that way (knowing which materials would be used gives a better idea of the design)

but the design poses a great danger to its bearer not only through the probable accidental discharge but due to its imbalance

a defect in the design is the blade shape which is a major weakness and proportion of the blade compared to the hilt

To answer your questions there..No I don't design them as if I was actually going to build them. I tend to lean towards a more imaginative route, even if the overall design comes out seeming impractical.

I can see the imbalance you are talking about, which will probably be addressed in future blade designs.

The blade is actually longer than the lines would indicate, and once I do the colored version (today hopefully), it might make a bit more sense in that regard.

Really appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

okay thanks for the clarfication

thats fully understandable i look forward to seeing the coloured version

i'm a pefectionist with designs so even though the poor design i drew doesn't show it i list all possible configurations and possible alloys and in this tonfa's case ([link] ) how its mechanisms would work

your welcome

Not bad, the blade seems to be a bit short though and the hilt looks like it couldn't take more than two clashes before breaking apart in your hands. The generrator idea is a unique twist that's pretty damn cool though.

All in all worth a fave.

Appreciate the feedback, and something I'll take into consideration on future models.

not a problem, it's a unique design and it has merit and potential. I look foreword to your next blade.

Ooh. Very sci-fi, with all the computerized matrices and whatnot. I love these kinda of things.
