Hello all!This is a piece I did for the Imaginarium group's short challenge 19.

A splendid rendering of a sacrificial priestess.
If we follow the story, she has just torn the still-beating heart
from her victims chest, and is about to cast it into the fire.
The smoke from the burning heart will rise to the heavens,
whereby the prayers of your people will reach the SunGoddess
on High!
Am I right about this?

I favorited this just cus I liked the color scheme. I think I would like a scene like that one day in a comic or something. Really gorgeous contrast.

Hm, I used to practice stuff like this. It is not awesome at all. It doesn't always ruin your life so visibly, at least at first, but the longer you practice that kinda stuff...
That stuff always comes back on you, one way or another.
And while I could still use the color scheme, I'm sure if a female priestess came up to you right now to take your heart that it would not be so "awesome." =S

Thank you very much, friend!! I am happy you enjoy it. I wish I could say I did the hair myself but alas, it was pre-made. All I did was transform it a few different ways and recolor it. I thought it was lovely too. Thank you!

this is an excellent piece! The lighting is great, colors are beautiful. The background is well done! I especially love the lighting on her, and you did a great job with the hair. If I was going to be nit picky, I'd say the bottom of the fountain needs a little more shadow and to be darker to match the rest of the image. But over all, gorgeous, with lots of emotive feeling.

I think this is one of my favs from my pieces-not that I have many. lol Thanks again for giving me some feedback and I am happy to know you enjoy it!

You have beautiful work dear, and if you keep going the way you are going, you will have tons of epic pieces before you know it. You have the eye, you have color, you have composition, you are able to portray emotions and feelings! You're doing excellent! Now just like anyone, it is only about practice!! Hehe, At least practice for us is fun!!
