Description
"Tulp Soldaat" (Tulip Soldier)A mini graphic novel/comic/what have you set in Holland during WWII. I'm more of an illustrator, not a comic artist so I wanted to make a comic without it looking too much like a ... comic? (and also prove illustrators can do anything a comic artist can do, haha~)
I did not include dialogue or an exact sense of time passing... I just wanted a sense of mood and atmosphere to come from pictures alone.

This whole thing is just so... Different
The way you paint, i could feel the atmosphere of the comic so well, and somehow to me it's rather retrospective. The flow and the value of the strokes, even the hatching has it's own life. The tulips are so simply drawn, yet the kind of represent children innocence...

Gah! Seriously, you should make a drawing/coloring tutorial of Tulip Soldier, or the one about parisians! It'll help you get more fame! I believe your tutorials would stand out from the others, as you are one uniquely talented person. Tasteful works you have made, i believe you should've been more famous in DA, you really deserve that :/
