I think the best with lighting I've ever done! Just a little side note: I did not do any photoshopping to this. Some people have asked me if I cranked up the colors or added the curly shadow, but really I just took the photo and uploaded!Location: Chicago, Illinois

Great colors, interesting lighting. I love the little random curly shadow! The composition might be reconsidered; I don't think the flower center needs to be directly in the center of the frame, but that's up to you and it's not bad how it is!

Wow, the fullview really is required to get the full effect of this beautiful shot. I love the purple and green together, they're both so saturated that it really looks amazing. The lighting is perfect, everything in this is! Fantastic work XD

Did you manipulate the light ? I'm guessing that it's your camera's flash from the shadows. But I'm only human and often wrong
Anyway, it is a fine take.

FINALLY someone makes a nice shot of a flower without using sunlight or automatic flash for lighting. Bravo for not giving me the same shit over and over and over again!
This piece is really beautiful with the strange combination of natural and unnatural colours and the way sharp and blurred areas seem to interact throughout the piece - I like it when the DOF is not so obvious.

Yeah, i like the lighting too. Is the light on the flower a flash, or did it come through the trees like that? Man, those sony lenses look sharp.
