Description Another keyblade in the Birthstone series. This time Citrine which was requested by !! It turns out, Citrine is really hard to color so it came out a bit more red than orange. Oh well. Whenever I hear Citrine I think citrus so I had to draw a tree theme.

This keyblade was inspired by a necklace I own and Zelda (I don't own Zelda).

Used Prisma Colors.

Heh, funny...My birthstone is yellow topaz, it could also be citrine, though............I WILL USE THIS KEYBLADE TO PROTECT THOSE WHO I LOVE AND CARE FOR!

Either citrine or Yellow topaz are used for the november birthstone. I chose citrine because it sounds like citrus which got my brain working on a design before I could think twice about it. The wikipedia article on quartz is pretty interesting and talks about citrine (which is a variety of quartz just like amethyst): [link]

Many spiritualists and wiccans believe it is powerful and that it has the ability to heal, protect, and provide spiritual insight. Who knows maybe it is magic. I love studying metaphors and mythologies like this.

Technically Amethyst is purple quartz, and there are a variety of quartz colors depending on the impurities and heat. here's a wikipedia article on it: [link] . My dad's a geophysicist so I tend to get random lectures on rocks with quartz being his most favorite subject. XD And here's something on Ametrine (which is actually a really cool ) [link]

I can't really think of anything at the moment. Usually I just remember things my dad has said about rocks from triggers that jog my memory. He talks so much about them that at some point I started just absorbing rather than actively remembering. I do, however, remember that at the dinner table he would always say, "please pass the halite" instead of "please pass the salt."

Of course! But don't worry. I've actually never noticed the Facet design, but yeah, it does seem pretty difficult. But practice makes perfect!

Deviously deviant. It does have a reddish hue to it, but I like it! I like how the blade curves around the citrines. And yeah, it does sound like citrus. Sounds yummy, but probably hurts tons. Ouch. By the way, I like the star designs inside the citrines. That reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist. Basically, I like.

It wasn't really suppose to be a star design, but the gem facets. I just couldn't figure out how to color each individual facet. I'm glad you like it.

Yeah I know. I'm back down to 24 (friend left with her Omega coloring pack ), but even twelve can be mixed and matched. You can also try using the white colored pencil to blend colors. It's true Crayola doesn't blend as well as Prisma, but it's not bad either. I usually practice blending by trying to draw sunsets or gradient colors on scrap paper. Color a bit of green lightly then color a bit of blue lightly next to it and over lapping a bit then go over both with the white colored pencil but pressing hard to try and smear and blend the colors.
