I originally wanted to watch the episode "Olga Gets Engaged" to get inspiration for something I wanted to draw for my sister who's getting married in August, and who has always been my Olga.
But I loved this scene with Helga and Doug so I simply had to draw it.
This episode shows that while Helga can inflict a hell of a lot of damage, she's also one of the best people to have in your corner.

Helga really proved she was the bigger person in this episode. Many people have told her she's lucky to have Olga as a sister, while Olga and her parents should be lucky to have a sister and daughter like Helga who stopped her sister from making a terrible mistake that she could never take back if she went through with the marriage.
Doug was a real creep to compare Helga with Olga by saying she's prettier and popular than Helga when he is comparing a grown woman to a nine year old girl who would one day grow up into a great beauty like Olga. But she called him out on his lies and wasn't going let that con artist ruin her sister's life, no matter how much she disliked Olga she didn't deserve to be in an unhappy marriage and end up like their alcoholic mother.
Doug had no idea who he was dealing with, no one screws with Helga G. Pataki and gets away with it. He should be lucky that Helga didn't have hi arrested for the possible frauds he possibly committed to become successful.

That always frustrated me about this episode. Helga did this amazing thing for her, and Olga never finds out. She just goes on thinking that Doug is this wonderful and noble man.
I'm not complaining about the episode itself though because I wouldn't WANT Olga knowing. Helga was being good because it was the right thing to do, not for any sort of reward. And I love that.
...but I still wish Olga knew how awesome Helga is
