The history of hip-hop

The Hip-Hop emerged in the end of the 60s, in black and Latino neighborhoods of New York. These suburbs, real ghettos, faced all sorts of problems: poverty, violence, racism trafficking, lack of infrastructure, education, etc.. Young people on the street were the only recreational space, and usually entered in a gang (who was part of some gang, or who was outside, always knew the territory and the rules imposed by them), which were facing the violently in the struggle for territorial control.

These neighborhoods were mostly inhabited by migrants Latinos, mostly from Jamaica, there were street parties with very powerful sound equipment that were called Sound System and in some places with car sound called "sound systems" (vehicles fitted with equipment sound, like electric trios). The Sound System was taken to the Bronx in New York by DJ Kool Herc, who with 12 years emigrated to the United States with his family, deceived the American way of life, (American style of life) with Herc took the Toast (Mode sing is very similar to the RAP, with well taken phrased rhymes and well made, and often politicized and other mundane and sexual sung over Reggaes instrumental)

In this context different art forms were born on the streets: music, dance, poetry and painting. DJs Afrika Bambaataa, Kool Herc and Grand Master Flash, Grandwizard Theodore, Grandmix DST (DXT today), Holywood and Pete Jones, among others, observed and participated in these expressions of the street, and started organizing parties in which these demonstrations have room, thus was born the Block Parties.

Each gang is in art a way to channel the violence they lived under water, are to attend the festivities and breakdancers compete with dance steps and not with arms, this was the proposal for Afrika Bambaataa now considered the godfather of hip Hop, idelizador the junction of the elements, coining the term Hip-Hop and for years was regarded as "Master of Records" (master disks), in its vast collection of vinyl records ... DJ Hollywood was a DJ of great importance for the Hip-Hop, despite playing rhythms such as Pops Disco was the first to introduce in their parties that animated MC's rhymes and phrases with which began the RAP. The Mc's that animated the parties began to make speeches rhymed about the community, the party and other aspects of daily life. Taki 183, the great master of Pixo made a revolution in New York to launch their Tags (signatures) throughout the city, being reported by the New York Times of the time ... After him came: Blade, Zephyr, Seen, Dondi, Futura 2000, Lady Pink, Phase 2, among others ...

On November 12, 1973 was created the first organization that was in their interests to Hip Hop, whose office was located in the Bronx. The Zulu Nation aims to end the various problems of young people from the suburbs and still have the belief in aliens (even if subsequently acquired universally), especially with the problem of violence. They began to organize "battles" non-violent gang with a goal peacemaker. The battles consisted of an art competition (to illustrate the environment in the U.S. Hip Hop in the 80's, I recommend the film Wild Style director Charlie Ahearn, in which there are large figures of vital importance in building the movement, as the DJ Grand Master Flash), Beat Street, Style Wars

(Graffiti), Fresh Kid Scratch and break dancers, documentaries and films about the Hip Hop culture. Thus was born the Hip Hop, putting together the 4 basic elements:

Today there are several groups that represent Hip Hop Culture as Rooted Movement, MHHOB, Zulu Nation Brazil, Casa de Cultura Hip Hop, Hip Hop Association of Bauru, H2P, Cedeca, Cufa (Central Única das Favelas), among others. The important to consider the birthplace of Hip Hop in Brazil is São Paulo, where he appeared with force in the '80s, the traditional meetings in the street 24 de Maia and São Bento subway, where many people left who is still around, as Thaíde, DJ Um, Styllo Wild, Region Abyss, Nill (Word Heavy), Sergio Riky, defh Paul, Mark Jack, Racionais Mcs, Doctors Mcs, Shary Laine, Mt Bronks, Rappin Hood among others.
