Eh, a sketch, a sketch, an animanga sketch. Wish I had time for more profound things these days...looking back thru my undergrad portfolio today made me nostalgic....

Body language is such a fascinating thing. You might think that the person doing the hugging is the one who needs the affection. But take a closer look here. Pay attention to hands and posture of these two male kinsmen. The relationship is that of a father and son (even though the one on the left is actually a great-grandfather who just looks much younger than he is). The one doing the hugging is granting a favor and a pardon.

Rezo and Zelgadiss from Slayers. In a post Evolution-R future that I wanted so badly to see for them that I wrote a fanfiction and am part of an ongoing rpg that provides them the happy ending I wanted to see. In said future Rezo's eyes are opened but he is still permanently blinded in order to lure out the brass demon part of Zel's chimeric body. He is also largely responsible for divesting Zel of the rock golem third. In other words he cures Zel, with Amelia and Naga's help. Long long story.

Where do we go from here?
This isn't where we intended to be.
