Description
Just a half finished color doodle with some ideas of Kozmotis Pitchiner (Pitch the Nightmare King) when he was still this kindly sainted general who protected all children by winning the Constellations War and then guarding the door of the Prison Planet and being like, the world's most perfect loving father to his daughter, who became Mother Nature. Feels.Rise of the Guardians/Guardians of Childhood fandom, for my watchers unfamiliar with it.

Somebody gets the color of the locket right!
I swear, in almost every other fanart I've seen on this site involving Kozmotis, they make his locket gold, not silver, like it clearly says in the book!
It drives me CRAZY!

LOL I knooooow, it bothers me too. I think people make the mistake because Kozmotis protected the safety of the "Golden Age," so they instantly associate gold with his character. LOL I'm glad you like my accuracy

That locket has so much symbolic meaning <3 I can relate to having a picture of a child that you love, and it helping you through extremely difficult trials. My heart goes out to Pitch. Glad you like!

My heart does too, to both of you. To Pitch for all that he once was and all that he lost, and for all that he is trying to recover (despite his being evil). And to you for being able to see past all the shadows into the, now dark and shriveled, heart of William Joyce's "Shadow Man" and drawing beautiful pictures like this.

I really believe there's still hope for Pitch. The third book made it exceptionally clear that there is at least a chance for him. Even if he doesn't choose to act on the good still remaining inside him, it does exist, and what always churns my butter (lol) is that he used to be probably a better person than all of the Guardians combined. And the way he was overcome was by the totally selfless urge to rescue a certain someone (avoiding spoilers for others here lol) because pure evil tricked him into thinking she was in danger. I mean that's just the epitome of martyrdom.
