I saw an adorable online doujinishi of Professor Moriarty and Mrs. Hudson's could-be, couldn't-be romance at a Japanese Meitantei Holmes website (I forget the title, but visit the :meitanteiholmes: club page tos ee a link I posted). I wish I could read the Japanese characters (lucky :skye-chan: can!!) , but from the images themselves, I surmised that they happened to pass each other at one of the market vending stands near Baker Street and she was so happy to see him that she accepted his invitation to return to his hideout for the second time for dinner. A remarkably good time was had by all until she decided to snoop around and discovered a painting of herself that he had commissioned and placed in a private, locked room. She was stunned, then flattered, then quite overjoyed. But poor Mori-kun was moritified, and extremely embarrassed, until she reassured him of her pleasure at the sight of it. So I doodled a little oekaki (I think that's the word for sketch, isn't it?) in tribute to this moment, in which he desperately fumbles for words while she just stares fixedly back.

God, romance is such a funny, awful, wonderful thing.... ^_^
