I've been replaying Pokemon Yellow on 3ds Virtual Console since its re-release came out last Saturday, it's so easy to get re-hooked on a classic like this! ♥Today, I caught a Chansey in the Fuchsia City Safari Zone, a feat that my younger self never quite managed to achieve. I had ran into at least six or seven of them today alone, surprisingly, but not so surprisingly they all ran away almost instantly. Except this one, which got caught in the first Safari Ball thrown. What luck!
And so I wanted to make a little celebratory picture of me and my Pikachu, Citrine, encountering this Chansey using the old color palettes from RBY era for fun. Hope you like it!

My first one was Crystal, so I get less nostalgia from these also ;w;
I definitely got spoiled by having it in color and with animated Pokemon sprites, which didn't return again until Emerald onward. xD

Yeah!! My first shiny (other than the Red Gyarados that everyone got) was a Magnemite I found in the grass near the Miltank farm in Crystal

This is neat! I like the limited color palette, uniform line width, and the intermittent red sections of the lineart - all of those things really give this drawing the feeling of the classic games!

I do like how you did the style to this, and the red strips of color in the lineart to make it feel more like the old games.
