Watch Parts Bee No 1

Bee No 1 was created entirely from recycled watch parts. Her body is made from many gold colored brass watch spring barrel covers that have been domed and soldered to watch spring bars. Her eyes are watch winding crowns, her mandibles from a cut and shaped balance wheel, and her wings from cut and sanded watch dials.

A spring from the inside of a watch spring bar allows her to fly over a flower made from cut, sanded, and domed watch dials, a srping barrel, and a recycled brass rod.

There is no glue or resin to be found in the piece...everything is soldered into place with metal. This is a one of a kind work of art, never to be exactly reproduced.

Bee No 1 measures 48mm wide by 90mm tall by 48mm long (entire sculpture, the bee itself is a mere 29mm x 25mm x 12mm). She comes with a 3" by 4" glass dome with walnut base for display. She is extremely fragile and should be handled sparingly and very gently, and is most definitely not a toy.
