I made and wore this costume to SMASH 2014, and it somehow received Best Male Cosplay in the competition.
Costume notes:
This armour and sword was my first time working with worbla.
I built a foam base and detailed it all with foam first, then I applied one piece of worbla onto all pieces of armour, then used a metal edge to press the details down.
Tutorial here:
I sealed the surface with spray putty, then undercoated the entire thing with black before painting the gold details and weathering it all with some bronze and copper paint.
