I was recently given a £450,000 grant by the Anthropological Society of the Natural History Museum, London. I decided to spend the funds reconstructing Original Trilogy Star Wars characters.Related content

I would have given him brown hair instead of red hair, but MUCH more how I originally imaginaed Anakin instead of the god awful prequel interpretation. Also he'd he'd be wearing lighter color clothes instead of black and great. Like maybe a bright red-brown color. Makes look more like a noble jedi knight instead of that teenage asshole in the prequels. But this is a fantastic pic regardless.

Before Episode 2 and 3 were published, I've always wondered how Anakin Skywalker would look as an adult (or when he was not burned).
This is a wonderful alternative to Hayden.

This is so awesome! I still like Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin, but I think this picture would be perfect for an alternate universe where Darth Vader's wan't burned in Mustafar.

This REALLY makes me happy to see, although I should note that Sebastian Shaw's eyes are actually brown. For the 2004 Special Edition DVD release, not only did they erase Shaw's eyebrows, but they recoloured his eyes to match...That Thing From The Non-Canon Prequels. I'm sure that's something you would want to know!!

My dude - that was a fine old comment, thanks for taking the time! Not sure what I was thinking when I painted his eyes blue - probably "that looks cool, I guess?". It's a detail I won't miss next time, cheers mate.
Seriously though, if you told me they blue-screened a wang over C-3PO throughout the whole three movies I wouldn't bat an eyelid. Star Wars has become one of the most obtuse and slowly unwravelled cluster-fucks of cinema history, imo.

No problem - this just really made me happy to see. I agree that Star Wars has become a bloated beast of a clusterfuck... but everything becomes much simpler if you just regard everything that came out past 1998 to be non-canon (which is what I do). Makes things much more logical and easy to follow!

Good god, could this rock any harder? Seriously. My absolute favourite part of that entire trilogy is that bit at the end of RotJ when Luke sees his father with Obiwan and Yoda. So when they replaced the supremely excellent Sebastian Shaw with He Who Shall Not Be Named, I nearly lost my shit.
Holy god, this is awesome in an incalculable number of ways.

Nice, so you've been living blissfully in the dark about that? I wish. Stupidest thing ever. Shaw had such a wonderfully distinguished quality to him in that final scene.
I hope your prequel dream comes true. I remember watching III in theatres and thinking "Holy shit. When are they going to play the actual movie because this is a joke." And that was about fifteen minutes in.
