Well, despite Equestria Girls possibly hitting it's ending point (there has been a rumor that EQG is not going to end yet, that another studio is going to take over), I decided to do this Equestria Girls style Top 10 Unpopular Opinions. I thought you guys might be interested in seeing this, but I mostly did it because I thought it would be fun to do. Just to get a better understanding on what I think about certain topics on the series? I don't know, but here are my unpopular opinions on the Equestria Girls franchise I hope you enjoy and find anything interesting?

Note: These are JUST my opinions and please treat it as such. I would appreciated if you respect those opinions and not be rude about it. If you do, I'll respect yours. I don't mind disagreements as long as we keep it civil. Thank you!

1). I like both Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce. If your in this fanbase, you even like Flash, or Timber or dislike them both. For me, unlike the fanbase who wishes to pend these two against each other and make them rivals, I actaully think these two are ok. Of course Flash is my favorite, but I like Timber too. I admit I used to dislike him because I believed that he took attention away from Flash, but it's not his fault. Sure he's flirty and cocky, but it's not really enough for me to hate him (there's actaully another person who's worse in my opinion coughzephrbreezecough). I just don't like him with Sci-Twi. I even ship these two together lol

2). I belive that Sunset Shimmer is overrated. Now I've said this countless of times before, but yes, to make it short, as much as I do like Sunset, she's overrated to me. Why do I think this? Well, I just think she takes attention away from the rest of the characters of the series that isn't her or the Dazzlings. People justify everything that she does and even blames the writers or other characters. Also, her redemption isn't as prefect as everyone makes it out to be. I don't mind people like Sunset at all, but I just don't like people justifying EVERYTHING she does and see her as a prefect angel all the time. I also dislike it when people act like Sunset reedemed all by herself without the help of no one. Like guys, she wouldn't of gotten to where she was without the mane 5's help and support???

3). Sci-Twi is underrated and gets unnecessary hate (or at least, she used to). Like with number 2, I've explained before why I think Sci-Twi gets overly hated/is underrated, but to put it shortly:

-"She's SO WHINY!!!" (Which is expected because she's A CHILD/TEENAGER who went through a traumatic experience and had bullies! How would you of felt if these things happened to you??? Any bad writting should be THE WRITERS responsibility at best).

-"She's SO OVERRATED/TAKES UP THE SPOTLIGHT!!!" (So Sunset isn't overrated? So Sunset doesn't take up the spotlight??? And how is she overrated when she was BARLEY on-screen most of the time when she was hated!? It means that you don't like her, that doesn't mean she's overrated.)

-"She replaces Princess Twilight Sparkle from Equestria!!!" (So what? In show, Twilight has duties in Equestria. She doesn't have time to help every time the girls are in danger anymore.).

-"She's so different from Princess Twilight Sparkle!!!" (Again, so what? If anything, wouldn't you WANT something from the EQG franchise to be different? Under the SAME breath, people would be complaining that she's exactly the same as her pony counterpart (like with the others). What do people want!?).

-"She's NOT LIKE SUNSET SHIMMY!!!" (Sci-Twi and Sunset are equally awesome in THEIR own way! Why does everyone in EQG have to be like Sunset Shimmer (or even the Dazzlings) in order for people to like them and pay attention to them? I agree that the writers should have given the main 5 (or all the characters who aren't Sunset or Sci-Twi for that matter) more development, character and screentime, but that's not the characters fault. I just don't see that as enough of a reason to flat out dislike any character who isn't Sunset or The Dazzlings.

-"She's a MARY-SUE!!!!" (HOW IS SHE A MARY-SUE??? TELL ME! I'm SO TIRED of people keep misusing the term "mary-sue" just to justify and display their hate for a character! If you don't like Sci-Twi that's fine, but DON'T use terms that you don't understand! Reasons like this is the reason why people don't like using mary-sue anymore . What gets me is that they will call Sci-Twi a mary-sue with no real reason, but Sunset isn't (the prefect sun child who can do no wrong nor never is wrong?).

Fortunately though, Sci-Twi's hate has started to tone down over the years so that's good. Though some of her hate still ligers and I still fail to understand why that is.

4)). With the slight exception of Principal Cinch, I don't hate/dislike any of the antagonist after Sci-Twi/Midnight Sparkle like everyone else does. I just don't . The only real reason why I don't dislike characters like the Shadowbolts, Juniper Montage, Wallflower, Vignette, Post Crush etc. is because at LEAST they did apologize and just needed help from the mane 7? I know sorry doesn't always fix it, but I DO acknowledge that they did realize what they done wrong and apologized for it and from there on they've done better. This doesn't mean I like them and excuse what they've done wrong by any means (because the more I think about it, all of their motives were stupid and shitty), but I don't dislike/hate them like a lot of the fanbase seems to. A lot of the reasons for their hate is because a lot of people don't think they were good villains/antagonist like the Dazzlings were. Fair enough I guess I don't think they were good villains neither, but again I don't hate/dislike them. At best, I'm just neutral with them. At least that gives me motive to give them character, story and headcanons now since the series didn't even bother to!

However though, I tend to dislike Cinch a little more than them mainly due to the fact that she's supposed to be an adult. At least most of these antagonist are teens/children, have room to grow AND apologized for their actions. Not Principal Jackass She NOT ONLY blames her students/children for her fuckup, but she also ABANDONS THEM and calls them monsters when they need help! She's a coward and an unsympathetic snob! If you ask me, THAT'S worth hating more than young people who at least learned from their mistakes! This is also why I can't understand Sci-Twi's hate sometimes. I know Sci-Twi wasn't innocent in FG, but she deserved ALOT LESS hate than that crappy Principal!

Now, I know this is kind of hypocritical of me to think since I dislike Chloe from Miraculous Ladybug despite her being a child too (14), have gone through issues with her mother, and that there's worse people in that show (Gabriel/Hawkmoth, Natalie/Mayura, Lila etc.) but to me, that's kind of different. Chloe has been a bully for YEARS before the series began and has been unnecessarily cruel to her classmates (especially Marinette). She also has been given A LOT MORE than one chance to change again and again but still acts the same way! Not to mention everyone in that shows caters to her TOO MUCH recently and she is NEVER grateful for anything anyone gives to her. This is all trumped by the fact that she NEVER says sorry (AND when she does, it's to the wrong people (Zombizou)!). She just feels like that she's ENTITILED to those things (including Queen Bee). In EQG, we really don't know these characters well enough to really judge their actions fully. So that's why I really don't "hate/dislike" them like I do with Chloe.

Note: BTW, Despite how I feel about Cinch, I DO plan to do something with her in my EQG AU 1/Galaxyverse.

5). I don't belive that Sonata Dusk is innocent and sweet anymore, but I DO think she is still capable of redemption (if not the easiest to reedem). Nuff said really. For those who known me, I'm a BIG fan of Dazzling redemptions! Also like some, I think that Sonata Dusk is the easiest to reedem due to her dizzy/airhead nature. However, I felt like just because she was "cute and stupid", that she wasn't evil at all unlike the other two Dazzlings. I admit now that I was wrong, but that doesn't mean I think she's incapable of redemption.

I guess technically they are reformed according to Sunset's Backstage Pass. However, I honestly wasn't that satisfied with it. I feel like people only are because they wanted them to stay mean when it reality it doesn't really make much sense for them to still be mad at Sunset Shimmer for something that THEY did to themselves I still belive Sonata still has her problems (like the other two), but I still think she CAN change for the better if given proper writting.

6). I'm really starting to dislike the special Forgotten Friendship. Not only because the special has a terrible antagonist (Wallflower), I feel like it was really pointless, once again a Sunset centered special, another special that keeps hammering in the fact that Sunset Shimmer has changed (this is another pet peeve of me too. Like WE GET IT! SHE'S CHANGED DAMMIT! She also blames herself too much (Spring Breakdown)) and TRIXIE was Sunset's wingman in this instead of Flash Sentry, which makes no sense and only happened because Trixie's a girl . It just isn't really great to me anymore :/ Also, I feel like people only love/like it because it's all about Sunset. Stocker...

7). SciFlash (Sci-Twi x Flash Sentry) should of been the endgame pair/the pair that's most focused on, not FlashShimmer like everyone else thinks. I'm sorry. I just think of given a chance, SciFlash could have worked out better. I honestly starting to think that part of the reason why people like FlashShimmer now is because it's Sunset Shimmer. I can also understand why it's loved so much (they did have some type of chemistry together, they both are musicians, Sunset's changed etc) and I did used to ship it, but meh. It's still not my cup of tea anymore. I just think SciFlash and TimberShy could have worked out way better.

8). I honestly think that the first ever Equestria Girls movie was ok. Again, unlike others, I actaully did like the first ever Equestria Girls movie. Sure it was cheesy and the movie had it's flaws, but I still love it! Just seeing the girls as humans, the songs, the humor and other things, this movie just has the classical highschool life feel with a magic twist to it is what I really liked about it! Also, at least it does bring in our bacon hair girl into the picture right?

9). Flash Sentry should of been a main supporting character at least (if not a main character). Again, nuff said. I get that the series is supposed to be about the mane 7, but the writers still could have done MUCH BETTER with Flash. I just feel like if they never was going to do that, then what is literally the point of bringing him into the series in the first place??? To really read more about my opinions on him, read these: Flash Sentry HAS potential!The one thing that really makes my angry about some Flash Sentry haters or SciFlash haters is that they wasn't even willing to give Flash a chance. Look, I know he doesn't have that much development, but how do expect characters to get development if they don't give the guy a chance!? People just dislike him because he's a "waifu thief" or he's the typical rocker boy. I admit that Timber Spruce does have a little bit more character than him since he's pretty smart. However, at least Flash does have a little bit more outside of his character.
He helped Twilight get out of trouble with Vice Principal Luna and even he and Princess Twilight didn't go all fast with this falling in love thing. They stayed friends till the end. Granted that it's because Princess Twilight is in another world, but AT LEAST they took it slow! Timber, even though he's smart, is cocky and egotistical (and we don't even know if he's the right guy for our Sci-Twi, let alone have any other redeemable qu Flash Sentry Is Getting Treated Dirty. I Know Why.As some of you may know, Flash Sentry barely appears in the Equestria Girls series anymore (and when he does, it's basically a cameo). I'm mostly making this journal today to state my reasons why he's getting the short end of the stick and not just my opinions on this (because for those who know me, I've stated my opinion on the matter a million times).
1). The series isn't about him. The series is called EQUESTRIA GIRLS, not Equestria Boys or Equestria Girls And Their Friends/Allies. This could be the reason why that other characters besides Flash haven't appeared often also (Timber, Trixie, Glorisa, Juniper, Wallflower etc.). We can be mad all we want (which I AM) about other characters not getting any screentime, but at the end of the day, each episode lasts for 2 minutes, the kiddies probably would want more of their favorite Equestria Girls, and the writers/producers want EQG mech/dolls so they can get their money. So they are going to do

10). Despite it's flaws, I still think that Equestria Girls should have continued after season 2/to a season 3. From what I heard in a tweet, Equestria Girls was going to have a proper season 2 finale and we was looking forward to seeing human world Sunset Shimmer. We was also going to have a season 3. However, I think due to budget (or the show that the spin-off came from have ended), all of this was canceled. It's sad because I ACTULLY was looking foward to see how things went with Sunset meeting her human world conterpart (and I was also looking foward to another season and seeing what it was going to offer), but alas. I did hear a rumor that EQG WASN'T over yet and it was going to be produced by another company, but I don't know how true is that :/
