This character looks very well thought out, I can see him being added to the sonic universe, But maybe try specify why he can't remember his past, this could help anyone who see's this get more interested in his story.
Also does he have any other abilities other than controlling his body temprature and using his tail? maybe he can breathe fire? or something like that
his colour pallet works very well with the fact he's a lava type. when you see the graident and markings on his tail,arms and horns makes it look like he's made of lava!
