People always ask me,
Why I’m always sad.
They don’t let me be,
And it really makes me mad.

It’s really hard,
Because I don’t have a reply.
I have no cue cards,
I have no reason why.

I just guess
I’m naturally gloomy.
It’s something I can’t supress,
So go ahead! Sue me!

They force me to rue,
As if it’s a major crime.
What do you expect me to do?
Pay a fine?

All these foolish women and men,
Ban you to portray
Someone needs to tell them
That being sad is okay.

You are allowed to feel sad
Despite what others say,
It’s nothing bad,
Just do things your own way.

Take your time,
Have a good cry.
It’s no crime,
So go ahead and sigh!

Before the negativity begins to mount,
Please feel free to frown
Other people’s opinions don’t count.
They’re not wearing the crown.
