Just a group of sketches I did for the group I'm in "manga art improvement"The challenge was to draw our own hair style from four different perspective. For fun I decided to do two of my hair-styles (I use both almost equally ^_^ )
I hope you enjoy this! It isn't exactly my best work, but I had a lot of fun with it! I also got to work on some things with my hair in drawings that have been bothering me!

The only thing I see wrong here isn't even in the quota I should be looking at! Really! It's that good! ^_____^ Anyway, from behind on the ponytail one, it looks like you completely forgot your ears. If you did put them in, it sure doesn't look like it. That's it... literally.
I'm giving you a 9! ^__^ You deserve it! Do you have any advice for those struggling with hair? Even tiny tips are helpful...

Thanks for the feedback ^_^ I really appreciate it. Now that you mention it, I did forget the ears *makes note to remember that in the future*
As for tips 0_0 um, that's a little bit hard because I'm not used to giving lessons (still learning things for myself)
I guess in general to make the lines loose helps. Also, for clumps of hair or for bangs and stuff, I try to get a smooth motion. With my hair at least I tried to make the part clear because it really defines everything else.
For the ponytail I almost think of hair like cloth, if you squeeze it together you are going to have some "folds" in the hair and it will be a little "bushy" on the other side of the ponytail but at the same time gravity has its own say and forces the hair down.
Finally, (I still do this when I'm not concentrating as much or when I'm not trying to do as realistic hair) If the hair ends in "points" then then they should not just be triangles, or triangle-like. It's better to throw in some mixed jagged edges rather than have a simple zig-zag pattern. Also, crossing general bands of hair over others gives a nice effect to the entire picture.
