Description A revised version of Pregnant Regina . (As with the original picture, Regina is unusually strong even for a transhuman, allowing her to refrain from using an antigravity belt to support the great bulk of her belly (plump with nearly full-term septuplets).)

(modified 9-5-12: Before moving this out of my scrapbook, I felt I should add something so I added Regina's name and rank from the Galaxy Fleet reserve (commander), as well as a banner of the Galactic Empire's Ministry of Information which employs Regina as a special intelligence agent.)

Good Lord, her belly just dominates this drawing, but it appears she doesn't let it dominate her!

Aside from revising the older version of this picture, one other goal was to explore how big a big belly could plausibly be without some kind of antigravity support or weightless or neutral bouyancy environment. Although it's temptingly easy to draw gigantic bellies, I try to keep in mind the square-cube law relating the volume of a belly to its surface area (and the fact that even a small increase in the diameter of a belly would result in a huge increase in internal volume and burdensome mass for the mother to carry).

See, I can't really draw big bellies, what few I have drawn are either of inferior quality (especially when compared to yours) or just goofy.

I'm glad you like the belly shapes I've used, although the shapes aren't necessarily realistic. In this picture, for example, the belly is very rounded and bulbous compared to the shape of a real pregnant woman's belly (in which the bulge doesn't extend far out to the sides, even when a mother is carrying multiple fetuses). However, I just like a very round and bulbous shape so my excuse with these transhuman pictures is that they're often carrying large numbers of fetuses to full term and perhaps their wombs can expand differently than a normal woman's womb would.

Art is art man, it doesn't have to be completely real. That's the beauty of it.

Yes, if she were any bigger she would probably need antigravity to help her move around.

Yeah and dressing will be hard to do.

Since the ladies often get very big in this setting, their clothes are designed to expand quite a bit (but often the very large ladies don't bother with clothes).

i like all the different shades you used for differentiating the black of her outfit and for her hair. and the reddish-purple shade of her eyes is alluring, as well

Thank you; I'm surprised myself that just a little color can add so much to a basically black outfit.

This is awesome! Love the massive belly and the coloring is quite striking - nice brunette! Can we see her with less clothing from different angles?

Thank you. Like my Karina character, Regina was originally an RPG character from a world outside the transhuman/Crystal War setting, so while I have several pictures of her in my scrapbook, those show the original character without a big pregnant belly. I think the black outfit was supposed to hint at her background as a secret agent, but perhaps I'll draw her again sometime with less on, as you suggested.

Fantastic! Looking forward to seeing it! I appreciate the talent it takes to draw realistic (and stylish) clothing but there is nothing quite like the bare female form in all it's pregnant glory!
