Description Download for full-view - it'll also be more readable that way!

A study of the head and facial features of a cheetah. Feel free to use as reference, but realize studying the animal on your own from photographic or - if you're lucky - live sources is a much better tactic!

These were all referenced from various photographs, most found at The Animal Pictures Archive . They are general observations and notes, I just tried to make them somewhat readable for everyone. If you're interested in seeing more things like this from me, the please give me input! What do you want to see? Do you like this? ...I can't promise I'll get around to doing suggestions anytime soon, but I would like them nonetheless!

The Original Sketches: ...which coincidentally have some other little notes on them not included on this one. But my handwriting may not be so readable!

-----
+ Sketched on real paper. Oh yeah.
+ Colored in Corel Painter Sketch Pad.
+ Arranged and text added in Photoshop CS5.

P.S. Again, feel free to use as a resource but keep in mind my own drawings may not be as accurate as a photograph. ...in fact, I know they're not.

This is great! It really helps me to define the cheetah's anatomy, and I'm sure it helps you too! This is truly wonderful <33 Thanks, Rachel!

They do have very gorgeous eyes. They are very dark compared to a lot of other big cats' eyes.

VERY nice, Rachel. I quite love this and I believe you do need to do more. For one, this is extremely nice, and for two.. you can do it for your own practice. That's why I would do it at least. In fact... I might. ^_^

One things I think might be better if changed, was instead of having the sketch of the cheetah why don't you make it a bit more finished (Or a complete picture). It would make the whole piece more finished and professional looking.

Thank you!
I will continue for my own practice for sure. I need to do more stuff like this anyway. It's just good for you no matter what the subject is.

I did think about that as I was working on it. I decided I liked the look of the sketch well enough, but I can definitely understand it on the full-body sketch - which isn't finished at all. Granted, I was just trying to mark down proportions more than anything with that. I feared I'd never have time to finish it, so I hurried to get this up. One day I shall make it - or a new one - more finished.
