AGAIN!? Might be a question some of you are thinking...Well, yes, I couldn't help myself. I just keep experimenting with mi favorita, Chica HalcΓ³n. This design was inspired by Hawkgirl's appearance in the new Injustice: Gods Among Us game. (Played the demo, seems pretty cool to me.)
I was, however, quite disappointed Maria Canals did NOT reprise her role as Hawkgirl for the game... it was a perfect opportunity. Ah well, maybe next time...

Hawkgirl with ornate bra, pants, classic boots, and classic helmet on her costume design just seems right to me.

As much as I respect Jennifer Hale, I'm getting kinda tired of seeing her in pretty much every game I play. I have no problem with her voicing Killer Frost, but I'll always prefer Maria Canals-Barrera as Hawkgirl. But oh well, Hawkgirl is still cool.

I love it. Reminds me a lot of JLU, while depicting a more realistic, gritty and battle-ready Hawkgirl design, by adding such things as wrist guard and knee pads.

Yeah, the hawkgirl in the comics, which is a different version than this, wears a costume very similar to this one. So I figure I try to see what my favorite hawkgirl would look like with the design, I'm still in favor of her "Public Enemies" drawing I did before, but I like this one a lot too!

Sweet!!!! Yeah, I also wish Maria voiced Hawkgirl, but then again Hawkgirl (and Hawkman) are probably open to any casting options since their continuity is so rough...

But their recent New 52 comic book series sucked balls according to many reviews so they might be holding back on making stories about them. I'm not though

Yeah, I read Savage Hawkman once... Wasn't too big on Hawkman anyway, but the comic series does him no justice. And the fact they bring back Shayera as a blonde with a lame costume... well, that irked me quite a bit Β¬__Β¬

The old Hawkman is way better (I have the Silver Age version by their creator Gardner Fox), but everytime they try to give him a new origin, it messes things up. Plus he and Hawkgirl were designed as a couple (Read: lovebirds), but when they try to separate them it loses the luster of the classic stuff. They need to respect the original creator's work and bring in what made those versions appealing to a modern age, and Savage Hawkman is not one of them unfortunately.

Its not everyday you see married superhero couples, and I think that's what made the hawks different, I for one wud like to see a series of them, or even a DCUAOM, instead of all these batman and superman movies.

For sure bro it would be a nice change to see a piece on them. I heard speculation from some blog that if there was a Hawkman & Hawkgirl story arc they'd like to see animated, it would be The Shadow War of Hawkman. I have the comics and it's a good story. I hope they make that one if at all...

If you can find all four issues of the miniseries at your nearest comic shop, you might want to get it! I was lucky to find all 4 issues for just $10. It's always nice to see how things were before, since they influenced what we have now!
