For my favorite kid's show of all time...HEY ARNOLD! [Well, I also loved Kenan and Kel and Rugrats, but y'know, whatever...] Seriously guys, this show was the best! Loved every character, and when you watch it when you're younger and then watch it when you're older, you'll realize HOW MUCH context went over your head. Seriously, I never knew Oscar was a dead-beat loser who used his wife...or that Helga's mother was an alcoholic who suffered from depression...So many things!Simple dumb background cause I couldn't think of any other thing to put back there.
PS: Arnold's head isn't football shaped. I get it . It looks weird ok?

you can buy the entire show on dvd at Walmart for like $20 or so that's where I got my set

I grew up on this show along with Rugrats, Wild Thornberrys, All That!, Doug and so much more from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Ever watch 90's Are All That!? It's on Teen Nick which shows Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, CatDog and Kenan and Kel at 9:00 p.m./12:00 a.m. I watch it every weeknight.

I don't really remember names (or personalities, well, whatever) but I really love this show and I just saw a few episodes and the movie.

Loved this show as a kid and I do to this day. I actually started re-watching the episodes with my 3-year-old nephew a few months ago. I think I might adore the characters even more now than back then and Helga will always be my favourite in the series.Β

Helga's mom had such an addictive personality, that even WHEN she became a better mother, stopped drinking, she just became addicted to something else, in this case, work.

[2] When I was younger I just thought he was super mega nice, but people kept referring him as a "throw pillow" and other subtle hints that I picked up on his sexuality later on
[3] I never understood where the depression happened until the ep in which Olga wants to marry that doucher and drop outta college and Miriam says "don't make the same mistake I did". WOW.

Yup, there also all the issues with the other characters. For example, Harold has been held back and clearly has so some social issues, but he makes friends. Still, doesn't change the fact that he, Stinky and Sid could be bullies. Some of them, Helga, Gerald, Phoebe, Rhonda, all live in nice houses, Β but we see how terrible Sid's room is in one episode, and we can guess that some of them are poor. Especially the residents of the boarding house.
