Dii: I love your style. Your featured deviation looked a lot like the Titan A.E. style, which is a good thing. That's the style >I< would like to have, if I wasn't lazy and technically inept. I see a lot of people who are technically skilled, but really bad at posing and conveying emotions and personality. You're good at both!! Congratulations.

I don't know your characters, but they look cool, if somewhat stereotypical- but hey, they're pirates! Bit hard to make a really original pirate. You did good, matey.
Lessee... The pages are well done, the dragon is sweet, the woman is hot, the second-from-right reminds me of a scruffy-but-cool Sirius Black, and I'd really like to know what kind of conditioner the last guy uses. It's just... so fluffy! And before I noticed the knife, I thought he was fondling his hair. Heh. And their ears all look elven.

Thanks! This is 2B pencil, I believe. I always use non-digital mediums in my work. I do have a wacom, but I don't like using it for inking.

My drawings are usually pretty clean without much cleanup at all. But if you work with blue pencil under the final lineart, you can just drop the blue right out through the channels in photoshop.

...my hair used to be that long... then I donated it to Locks of Love... Seeing awesome hair like Daerick's makes me miss mine...

Aaaactually, Daerik is the only pirate among these five. The others add up to three privateers and one assassin.
I thought I'd miss my butt-length hair. It was chopped in December and I still don't miss it!

Your butt-length hair was quite the sight to behold, though, I must say. I very much admired your dedication to growing it out that long, and I was sad to see it go. Not that it looks bad, now.
My hair's actually still pretty "long," by most people's standards, as it gently sweeps my shoulders as it bounces freely in the wind, whilst I briskly traverse between my destinations. But, getting used to having a foot of it cut off has been quite the transition.

Heh, well, I had fun drawing her torso and didn't want to cover too much of her...anatomy. I also wanted to portray her as a woman for once, as opposed to an irate time-bomb.

Thanks! I think his hair continues to change length. But I'm not worried about it yet - not 'til I have sequential pages of him to deal with! When I started drawing him, his hair was down to his butt. The shorter I'd consider making it is shoulder-blade length (which this has a good six inches of growth on).
