Description Grumpy face! These guys always make me think of grumpy old men. Fun fact: Β Horny toads are not toads - they're lizards!

I wonder if horny toads are the same as horned toads. Those like to be petted. I read it in a book somewhere, and posted it in a comic.

They are the same - horned lizards, horned toads, horned frogs, and horny toads all refer to the same genus of lizards. Β The ones raised as pets are definitely pretty chill about being handled - wild ones will let you handle them for a little bit, but they're not thrilled about it, since in the wild, a small critter being picked up by a big one usually means they're about to eaten.

I remember the first one I ever saw was in Arizona hiking Thumb Butte. I love these guys. Probably my favorite lizards.

Sitting in the grass eating lunch while on a hike in Flagstaff, Arizona - in summertime, you see them EVERYWHERE
