Description Spirit and Rain are from the movie, "Spirit, Stallion of Cimmaron." They each took me about an hour to make. They were made using local plastic beads.

If you want to recreate or modify this, feel free, but please tell me. If you want to use it as an income generating activity, contact me first. I have taught and allowed people who support widows, orphans, and similar groups.

It takes a lot of patience and practice. It took me almost a decade to develop this horse pattern and I still find myself tweaking it sometimes.

Only with life sized beads

They would take way too long, otherwise.

There's a beaded dragon somewhere on dA made with tennis balls. It's impressive, and several feet long even though the same pattern could fit in my hand using standard size 11 beads.

I have lots of other beaded horses (and unis and pegasi) that I've made; they should all be in the Horses folder in my gallery. Currently I'm plotting how to make a horse pattern twice the size with my Delica beads.

The tennis ball dragon might be in my favorites. If it isn't, you could probably find it through search.

I would love this pattern or a tutorial. Our school mascot is a stallion. I am not into selling product. I just want it for personal use.

Thank you, BettasPage. It takes a lot of practice and trial and error. The horse pattern took around eight years to develop off and on.

My deviantart ID isn't my legal name, so I guessed yours wasn't, either, so I was wondering what your inspiration was. My apologies if it is your legal name.

My own ID is the local name that was given to me when I lived in Malawi.

Thank you. I am working on a series of patterns, but have not figured out how to pattern horses yet. When I do, I will post it.

I developed these on my own, so unfortunately, I cannot refer you to another site or book, either.

aww those are so cute !!
Do they actually stand on their own??

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Anabiyeni In reply to Drizzel [2009-01-07 10:07:28 +0000 UTC]

They do stand on their own and are relatively poseable thanks to wire in the legs and a fairly sturdy tail. If I want them to lie down, I would have to change the pattern on the hind legs, though.

Thanks. I don't support the causes directly, just assist the people who do. AIDS has devastated this country and a lot of help is needed in the form of empowerment.

well its still really noble, and it'll get international views, empowerment is one of the most important things, i agree. Im in south africa and even here its really devastated everyone
