Thanks, Yami.
The colors aren't actually my idea. If I can remember who on dA I stole it from, I'll post a link in the description.

Just the wing? I could probably manage that. It may take a little while to find the time, though, especially since I don't have this critter with me (it's with my parents on another continent for several more months), so I will have to make a new one, first.

That fine! I'm always struggling with wings. Bat, or feathered. I made my mom a dragon and epic failed on the wings. So now it's a lizard, lol

I'll see what I can do. If I don't post anything in the next couple months, just send me a reminder, since I can get sidetracked easily.

Sure, no problem. Thanks! Oh, I meant to ask, how long does it take to make the body?

Depends. For the griffin, if I've made one recently (and so can clearly visualize the pattern), maybe an hour, or less if I've made several, unless I am doing some complex color pattern. For most of my sculptures, wings and manes, if they have them, take longer than the bodies.

Thank you. They took forever to make and when I was done, that wasn't even what I wanted them to look like, but I like it anyway.

The only tutorials I have done are the ones in my gallery. The only other really good one I have seen is ChimeraDragonFang's, which is in my favorites. There are a few on About.Com that you may find helpful, but they use a different style. I developed this style over many years and have never seen anyone else using it.
I like the simplicity of yours; that's where I started.

Thank you. It was accidental, but I am really happy with how it turned out.

Alas, I don't sell them. Each one I make is different and giving up the few I make as gifts is almost always hard.
And for one like this, a second attempt might be pretty, but even with every stitch the same it wouldn't look the same as the first.

Maybe I'll consider doing commissions someday, I could use the income, but I'd need to practice with glass beads first and figure out cost of time and materials... mostly time...
I just can't be bothered right now. Anyway, should I change my mind, I'll definitely post something on this site.

Turn it into a full circle and it would make an awesome peacock.

True. I hadn't thought of that, but I think it would work.
