I mean, he's supposed to be the more expressive one out of he and Seto. They're both so serious!

I mean Seto...or rather Seth does look good as a Pharaoh, but I still like Atem better. The design for him is great and I am glad you added lots of jewelry. The pose is a great one and one I have seen many Pharaoh's do in pictures I have seen. Nice work.

You're welcome. I understand and the fact that after Atem had to leave the world of his memories after defeating Zorc and how he made Seto Pharaoh. It makes you wonder what things were like under his rule. I did find it interesting that while he never wanted the throne he ended up getting it in the end. It is a pose that I have loved a lot when looking at Egyptian stuff.

True and before Atem left his memory world Priest Seto was surprised when Atem gave him the throne. I believe he was surprised, because he had been doing everything he could to protect the pharaoh and now he was going to be come the Pharaoh. It was hard, but at least he remembered Kisara.

Yes, exactly, he was indeed surprised because he did everything he could to protect the Pharaoh and now he was going to become Pharaoh. Yes, it must have been really hard for him to forget Kisara, but I have a headcannon that Priestess Isis survived the battle (she does survives in the manga, after all) and assisted him in the beggining, since she knew how he felt, since she had also lost a loved one (I believe she had a crush on Mahad) and he is also her friend and she doesn't want to see him suffer. So their bond becomes stronger and turns into love with time, and Isis become Seth's Queen. That's what's going to happen in my fanfiction. And this also explains why Seth and Ishizu from the Wild West have a deep connection, because in Egypt, they were married.

Plus it was all at once, so that could be why he is as surprised as he is. Interesting idea for a fanfic and I remember her surviving in the manga.

Well I do not think the simple word "amazing" is enough so allow me to give it a try.
Amazingly realistic and amazingly wonderful colors. His skin is as tanned as it should be and the psent on his head is simply great. The double crown of upper and lower Egypt rests finely on his head but somehow it feels heavy. Like the burden he has to bear on his shoulders by taking a task he never expected to, by becoming a leader when he never imagined to but at the same time he knows his duty and he's ready to perform it with dignity and great strength (both mental and body)
The rest of the symbols are also incredibly well-drawn, for example the scepter of the shepard (heka) and the whip he's holding crossed over his chest along with the fake beard of the Pharaoh add great feeling to his appearance. He's holding them with power, aware of their true meaning.
Now for his attire, the clothes are so realistically drawn and it is perfect you kept them white like they should be! The linnen clothes were supposed to be hard to be died so they were kept white while the color was given by jewelry. His jewels are amazingly drawn and I daresay even more realistic than they were in the anime. The rings, the seal to one of them are simply great.
I can see his eyes are painted with Khol which adds much more realistic things to his appearance. I love it along with the background!
Even if I am a great Atem fan I gotta admit that Seto gives off a completely different feeling. I mean he climbed up so high from being practically nothing while Atem was given the place He almost looks like Seth I or Ramses II! The strong warrior-pharaoh!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH Thank you very much for this wonderful comment! I'm so honored, really!!!! I'm so glad you liked
Yes, that was exactly what I wanted to express, the Pshent on his head also represents the burden he has to bear as the new Pharaoh (because he literally has the Upper and Lower Egypt over his head now ) but at the same time, it gives him a powerful look, showing that he has potential to rule over the Two Lands as a strong Pharaoh, so you described perfectly what I wanted to express.
Yep The holy scepters of the heka and the nekhakha (or crook and flail as they are commonly called) and the fake beard of the Pharaoh indeed add a great meaning to his image and make him look strong and powerful, like a Pharaoh should be. I've always loved the symbolism behind the crook and flail and they indeed add an image of power to the Pharaoh who is holding them
I'm glad you liked his attire. It wasn't my original intention, honestly. I was planning to add his traditional anime clothes with some adjusments (like in my previous drawing of him) but I decided to make him shirtless because it made him look more royal and powerful, and also because the Pshent doesn't match too much with his blue attire. Because we know that in Yu-Gi-Oh, things aren't historically acurate (because if it was, them all the characters would have their heads shaved and I can't imagine Atem or Seto without their precious hair T.T After all, a hair makes an anime character, because without it, they would all look the same!) But I'm really glad you liked that I decided to keep more white in his clothes I personally liked that too. And I'm also doing a drawing of Queen Isis with a white dress, too
I'm also glad you liked his jewelry Yes, I wanted to make them more realistic than they look in the anime, because, really, egyptian jewelry was so beautiful and colorfull *--* And I'm a fanatic for their jewels xD I personally like his bracelets, because I added Khepri, the scarab god on them and the scarab god is one of the symbols of Seth's reing because Khepri represents Ra's rebirth, so it also represents Egypt's rebirth after the battle against Zorc.
And I'm also glad you noticed that his eyes are painted with Khol I always try to do that on my egyptian fanarts, because I just love how egyptians painted their eyes x3
Yes, I also like Atem, but Seto gives a completely different feeling, indeed. And I think he had to deal with a lot of challanges, because he wasn't prepared for the throne like his cousin was and that's what I love about him
And yes, he almost looks like Seth I or Ramses II (Although I don't imagine him enslaving the hebrew people and suffering with the seven plagues, haha xD just kidding)

AnaLee94 In reply to katerinaaqu [2016-07-11 16:28:29 +0000 UTC]
Yeah! The flail or the "Nekhakha" also symbolized the fertility of the land, because the flail was generally used to grind grain. I believe Set would be a great Pharaoh, who loves his people, but he would seek for justice and never let a criminal escape, since his matron goddess was Sekhmet when he was a high priest.
Yes, I was also thinking that! In my fanfic, at the beggining, he has to go to war to battle with the hittites and other enemy civilizations and defend Egypt's frontier, so I was planning to draw him with this crown and with the war attire, something like this, indeed! I also think it suits him ! I can imagine him marching with his soldiers. with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon beside him, destroying his enemies as he and his soldiers battle with their weapons, it would be so epic!
Yeah, I also agree, he wouldn't wear the same attire all the time Also, I like to design new clother for the charaters, specially when it comes to Ancient Egypt I will draw more of Pharaoh Seth with different crowns and clothes in the future, the same for Queen Isis
I also wish I had some egyptian jewelry
Hehe thank you so much!!!
Oh, really? Usually movies about Moses picture Ramses II as Moses' adoptive brother, such as Prince of Egypt by Dreamworks, The Ten Commandments movie, Exodus and many other movies. But it's Hollywood, so maybe they aren't accurate, indeed.

I believe he was a strong king But at first, he won't feel prepared for it and that's what I'm going to tell in a fanfiction I'm planning to write about him. Because he's still shaken by everything that happened and his responsibilities as Pharaoh are very great, because he will have to rebuild Egypt from the ashes, while battling against external and internal forces that conspire against him. And he doesn't feel up to the task, because he had never wanted the throne in the first place (which is why he fought against his own father). He also feel weakened by the recent death of his beloved Kisara and also the death of his fellow priests and the departure of his cousin, Atem.
But Isis, one of the only survivors of the battle and also a High Priestess in the pharaoh's court, is sensitive to Seth's situation, because she understands his feelings, after all, she also witnessed the tragic death of their priest friends and also the death of the man she loved, Mahad. She then decides to help Seth, not only because he is the Pharaoh and needs to restore Maat (order) to the Two Lands, but also because he is her friend, since he was also one of the most loyal priests in Pharaoh Atem's court, and Isis is the only one who understands him and she doesn't want to see him suffer. She starts to help him by giving him advice to help him manage and rebuild the kingdom, guiding him in war strategies against enemy civilizations and giving emotional support. Gradually, this connection between them begins to grow and becomes admiration and respect for each other and over time this feeling will turn into love.
But they will have to deal with a lot of problems together, from enemy civilizations to the nobility who wants to take his throne and are plotting against him.

Oh wow, though I think they would be against that. And if his daughter did do that I can imagine Seto and Isis being disappointed in her because she made them sacrifice their freedom to live underground.

I didn't meant that Seto and Isis would have to live underground, but their daughter could be the first of the Tomb Keepers. Since they are King and Queen of Egypt, they should rule Egypt until their deaths and their son would inherit the throne of Egypt and continue the Royal lineage. As for their daughter, she would live underground and create the Tomb Keepers
