November 11th 2008. Pont de l'Alma; Paris.I know this is a typical touristic shot; but I love the blue of the Tower and how his top is cut off by the fog.
No effects added; this is a original negative scan; the light dots are from the rain!

I find this photograph remarkable, It feels timeless and haunting, the contrast, tone and composition works very well together in which you are pulled in to experience its ambience, the raindrops on the window / lens gives the subject depth of field which bounces from near to far through the light.
for a busy area such as a highway you made it seem forgotten and lost in a world that whispers silently through the wind.
I love this piece and wouldn't want it changed much as I find it visually pleasing, love the colours, love the subject, love the spacial distances. well done

It's a long exposure; I used a tripod and set the shutter speed to somewhere between 20 and 30 seconds.

This isn't a typical shot at all! A typical Eiffel Tower shot would be a close up looking up at the tower with it being centered in the photograph! This is so much more, the desolation is a bit unnerving!

I absolutely love the fact that you got all of the lights on the left in the shot. In my opinion the lights are one of the best things about this shot and you captured them perfectly.
