Do people in Canada have the problem of steryotypes ( from other countries **cough cough** America *cough cough* )
we have that problem in Australia
some people can't understand that, no, we don't ride kangaroos to school, and no, kangaroos don't run *hop* around in boxing gloves, and finally, we *don't* want to 'pop a few shrimp on the barbie'. lol.

I was reading this story once (which is what made me think to ask you of stereotypes) and the main female was Canadian. So, the girl was always being asked if she was American, and she always turned around and said she was Canadian. The best bit was when SHE was thinking about stereotypes and said/though something along the lines of, 'Because all Canadians love getting out of their igloo in the morning and riding their polar bear to school'. It made me realize we have that exact same problem.
Although the Auzzies might be partly to fault. Sick of the stereotypes, we like to tell the Americans/other countries that they have to look out for the drop bears (vicious koalas that drop from trees and light posts to attack people) and that they had to smear vegemite on their skin to stay safe. Lol.
