Yes. I've only seen a little bit of Doctor Who (I don't have much time for TV), but have always been fascinated by the show, even in its original incarnation (I still like Tom Baker and Doctor #4). I can certainly see how people become so fascinated by the characters, and everything that is associated with the show.
