Description
A really old (about a year or so) speedpaint that I finally touched up a bit.It's nowhere near a finished piece, but I still liked it so much and felt like sharing with you guys.
Also because it's been rediculously long since I posted something.
It's called "Hidden Within" because of the contrast between the serene, pastel and soft colors and overall shading and the harshness in the look of the portrait.
You can fill in the rest for yourselves.

The nose and mouth look a bit odd, and her expression doesn't seem to suit the picture. The hair, for being blown up, is very solid and too stiff, and it doesn't look natural at all. I like the shading on the skin though, and the pink in the backround. Not one of your best though.

But I felt like posting some of my experimental works.
It's a speedpaint, solely for shits n giggles.
The expression is intentional. As I said in the description it was ment to be contradictory to the look of the piece. (I like contradictions ^^)
The hair, no idea what I was doing there... xD
I thought it looked ok and different from what I normally do, but I have to agree that it does not look natural

I really like the color palette and what it adds to the painting. My first thought was that the dark purples really make it feel alive...like the dark colors are almost breathing.
