The happy, busy times in Valinor, when Feanor and Nerdanel were leaving their mark on Tirion and all the other elvish cities, while bringing up adorable elflings. I thought that someone as brilliant and ambitious as them would have never been content just with making a sculpture for a garden or decorating some random room with gems, they would have wanted to do art on a big scale and in order to do that they had to do architecture. And it's a field where I can show them doing teamwork and being equals. I think they were the type of artists that would think a building with everything from the structure to the paintings, chairs and the last chandelier(and suing if their client change anything, Feanor at least ) I wanted to have them alone working together, to show the 'partner' side of their relationship, but Maitimo just didn't want to stay out of the picture. It looked so empty without him.How comes it's so hard to draw something I've been doing my whole life?! Their hands holding the pens were the hardest things to do here...not even fully happy with them...I should probably let them go already.
Drawing a vaulted roof from memory is a bad idea! It sounded bad when I started but I was to lazy to turn on my laptop and search for reference.

You are a bit too hard on your own work, but there is nothing unusual about that from an artist
Over all, the picture has an intimate atmosphere, the three figures make a good composition and the room feels cosy. You do need to study hands and faces (and probably feet, though they don't show here) so that you feel more confident when you create a figure, but you haven't done badly at all! If you pencil in your figures first, pay special attention to how large the hands are compared to the face: length of hand should be roughly the same as length of face.
I really love the details of this drawing: Nerdanel's hair and the tucks and folds of her dress are delightful, the tapestry and child's drawing on the wall, the books, and the outdoor scene through the window. But what steals the whole scene are the scrolls of building plans spread out on the table, it is so beautifully done!
Everything has a "primitive" perspective, which only adds to the charm of the scene, I don't think I'd fret too much about the accuracy of your vaulted ceiling

I'm stressing over the vaults because I'm an architecture student and I though that after so much time staring at them I'd be able to draw them better from memory. Well I was never asked to compose a perspective with them-just learned history and structure. Anatomy and I have never been close friends. I want to improve it but after all the schoolwork I do I'm never in the mood for studies; when I sit down and draw something for me I just want to have fun. That's also why I never use linear perspective in the stuff that I post: I'm spending to many hours calculating those for school, when I get free-time atmospheric perspective is all I can manage. And it has a nice medieval feel to it that I think goes well with Tolkien.
