So yeah I watched Infinite Stratos and... it's really good. I guess I watched too much stuff to scream "AWESOME" at everything I watch... I kinda regret it T_T Growing up Sucks.But that's not the point ^^ the series is really fun, it brings together a number of things I love like powered-armours, mecha-musume, white haired pretty girls, LOTS of badass girls that could level a mountain. Not to mention Humour and Harem shaenamigans... though the protagonist almost makes me smack my head into a wall and scream "WHY IS HE SO STUPID". Though that may an advantage to Char and Laura, former is aware of his stupidity and could play it to her advantage and the latter is VERY agressive in her attempts at winning his heart. And have a backup team ^^
As for the poster, Char(lotte) and Laura threatening some guy... dunno who or why but if I were to bet he is probably attempting to kidnap Ichika or something

It's from the Light Novels, thus Canon, the two got talked into a one-day-part-time-job as Maid and Bulter at a cafe, same day bankrobbers flee into the cafe and take everyone hostage, got curbstomped even without IS-use
Laura act totally jerkass as a maid, many men love being talked down by her
Charlotte is mistaken for a bishonen, by every customer, the girls squee for her, results in mixed feelings
sidenote, they were shopping for cloths that day, including a PJ for laura, she got a fullbody-kitty-suit, Char too.

True enough, though remember how they hit him with their IS weaponry on daily basis and Rin was fully willing to slaughter Ichika and Charlotte for holding hands XD
To be honest I find it amusing how Cecilia and Rin had to explain to Laura (a trained super-soldier) that they should gather intelligence first, Laura seriously strikes me as not very tatical and reasonable one

think she had too much curbstomp-battles(in her favor)
so she lacks in the analyse- and adapt to new-skills
also I doubt there is anybody in her sqaud to match her power, so no team-battle-skill either

Yes that would make sense, instead of being a subtle and efficient fighter she was made to be a powerful sledgehammer, something that would easily crush the enemy without the need for subtlety. Heh guess it differs a lot from the concept of Super-Soldiers I've been developing for my verse. Still Ichika is a very good commander from what I heard so Laura will prove to be a very effective asset in his hands.

Well I have two... naah three different concepts for Super Soldiers. First ones are Ethereals, human soldiers who were really badass on the battlefield, were offered and accepted extensive cybernetic and genetic enhancements, becoming even more badass and dangerous. Then there are the Ultimo, humanoid beings who were designed and built from ground up to be super-soldiers. They differ a lot from normal humans, can cope without sleep, have "broadened" conciousness which allows them to competently operate a number of drones and fight themselves at the same time, can fully use a 360 degrees field of vision without getting confused and so on and so forth. Add even MORE extensive cybernetic enhancement than Ethereals and they are battlefield monsters who drop enemy's morale below zero by just Being on the battlefield. Ethereals for all their enhancements are still human with emotions, habits and stuff. Ultimo are not, they are kind and gentle fellows, easily socializing with other people but if order is given they'll unscrew your head with frightening proficiency, they'll keep coming at you with holes the size of basketballs in their bodies and even if you manage to kill them, if you don't destroy their brain they'll be recovered, given a new body and ready to fight again. And then... And then there are Warlords. They are actually more of a WMD or a Terror Weapons than soldiers. Human in size and appearance but their bodies are completely artificial, have a built-in power plant that could dwarf all the nuclear power plants on Earth put together, limbs so strong that they can throw tanks like they were empty cans, shrug off getting hit by a nuke and level cities with both physical and energetic attacks, plus when they go into Berserk Mode their bodies generate deadly radiation which will kill anything alive in radius of 5 km within a couple of seconds. All three types were created during the Dark Age when two or three different races ganged up on humanity attacking and hunting us, humanity threw all the morality and ethics out the window in order to survive and was creating monstrosity after monstrosity just to survive and fight back. Umm... I think I got carried away
