Description Well I've been reading Hajime no Ippo for some time now and I have to admit that it's a very pleasant to read manga.
And this is Mamoru Takamura, the only thing I need to tell you about him is this: He shares seiyuu with Jack Rakan. Yes he is THAT awesome.
And here is about to unleash PURE RAPE on a bunch of guys who've been badmouthing him. This didn't end pretty...
Disclaimer: Obviously I don't own Hajime no Ippo

You want the Really scary part? Takamura wasn't even fighting at his full power. His natural weight is Heavy Weight while he has to fight in Middle Weight. In short we are Yet to see Takamura fight at full power :-3

Takamura is made of finely measured mix of Cool, Badass and Jerkass... mostly Jerkass.

If he has enough confidence in himself to not even turn around to the guy he plans to kick his butt, I can only trust your words lol

This guy beat a BEAR in a fight and in that scene he was taking on like 3-4 National level boxers two out of which were or used to be Champions and whooped their asses XD

Okay, definitely a man amongst boxers.

But the God of Boxing James Shiba (from HSDK) would still kick his ass or should I say punch ?

Don't even compare those wild power levels XD That's like pitting a Saito from Zero no Tsukaima against Berserk's Guts XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kaitoraikan In reply to Andarion [2013-10-06 10:08:56 +0000 UTC]

This depends what wild power levels we're talking of here into a raw power sword brawl, Guts sure mays splatters Saito body in bloody pieces... but into a charisma challenge, Saito got 5 womens running after his ass (6 when Kirche was still into him) when Guts only got 3 (actually 1,5 since Casca is still mentally challenged of her memories and Schierke is... ahem, way too underaged).

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Andarion In reply to Kaitoraikan [2013-10-06 14:31:50 +0000 UTC]

Meh Saito got them as a perk for being a harem protagonist, that's just how rolls. I bet that Kirche would instantly "jump ship" and start fawning over Guts' Raw manliness XD Siesta would be terrified of him though. At least until he'd save her from something.

Kaitoraikan In reply to Andarion [2013-10-06 22:23:46 +0000 UTC]

LOL okay, I admit you kinda spoke sense here.
(But still : that's precisely the fearsome power of an harem protagonist : getting all the chicks from just acting nice or saving asses !)

Amen to that line, son : May one day the Harem God shines upon those poor single souls.

Andarion In reply to Kaitoraikan [2013-10-10 19:33:12 +0000 UTC]

You are the one who is the son here XD Or they should learn that being nice is not enough and they just should find a girl they can get along with.

Kaitoraikan In reply to Andarion [2013-10-11 11:55:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh, you prefer that I call you Old-man ?

Well, usually, that's the problem of most Friendzoned dudes : they are more than nice with the girl and they share everything, getting along pretty well... and yet, when they try to be more, they get rejected not going to argue on the fact that the girl is or not on right to do so, but still... I can understand their pain... unlike Harem heroes who never have that problem !!

I can bet that he also shares seiyuu with:
Musashi from eyeshield 21 also known as "the 60 yard magnum"
and with Saeyima Taiga from the game yakuza 4 also known as "the leyendary hitman" but I call him "walking parapleyic factory"

ultimatezuko In reply to Andarion [2011-11-25 04:51:28 +0000 UTC]

well the eyeshield 21 series is a american football series "musashi" is the kicker of the team and my brother tells me that it is the worse position you could have but damn he makes it look awesome.

And the Yakusa 4 is a ps3 game and I call saejima the "parapleyic factory" because [link] let's just say he can get quite brutal, in my opinion they are both awesome.

Andarion In reply to ultimatezuko [2011-11-26 15:54:36 +0000 UTC]

Heh to get the worst possible position and power and make it awesome is a mark of true badass [nods]

Ough... a wrestler with fondness for using the surroundings, I feel sorry for his opponents. The guy is a badass all right.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ultimatezuko In reply to Andarion [2011-11-27 04:43:40 +0000 UTC]

well his awesomeness comes from that, there was this time that there was an absolutely unstoppable player and he was the only one able to score on the first half of the game (field goals but it counts) and especialy...THIS GUY [link] RESPECTS HIM, he treats everyone with punches and (litteraly) putting guns on their heads and he absolutely refuses to pull something like that on him actually only musashi has opposed him and go home unescrached.

And about saejima, he was a Yakuza hitman but well he does fight like a wrestler also he is quite skilled with a katana, hammer and brace knukles, but there is a mini-game in wich you train some guys and succesfully teach them (spectacle wrestling, pro wrestling, boxing, kickboxing and karate) but when you enter the tornament the sheet sais that his style is mere street fighting.

Also, Shisuo that guy will destroy that city one day and will say "did I finally kill that piece of shit?" hoo and nearly forgot thanks to you I found Tv tropes, Now I spend almost every second of my freetime there, I don't know if I should be happy or crying right now XD.

God damn superman that Fuckamura is. Who needs red silly looking cape when you've got bear skin. And it's hilarious reading manga from beginning and seeing Date-san so cool and then remembering his epic fail spouting some nonsense about panda's colours and then getting naked. XD

neogoki [2011-08-04 05:20:24 +0000 UTC]

also that "bunch of guys" means five of -the best boxers(most of them with out of ring brawling-exp) in Japan, though all are in far lower weightclasses than him, that and his natural badass means: not enough for a sweat

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Andarion In reply to neogoki [2011-08-05 13:48:02 +0000 UTC]

Btw. who was the guy with the moustache? Wasn't he that reporter Fuji? Damn I laughed my ass off when reading that chapter, it was one of the things that made me start reading Ippo. Yeah Takamura is so friggin badass that even those guys couldn't land a hit on him. He one hit KOed Sendou for god's sake XD even Mashiba The Intimidator was afraid of "Fuckamura" XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

neogoki In reply to Andarion [2011-08-05 19:23:31 +0000 UTC]

moustache: not the reporter, It was that Pro from Date's Gym, Okita former Rank 5, fought Ippo in Vol 14+15, he grew a the moustache a while back.
Fuji is a smooth talker he could clam takamura down, too bad he wasn't there

I think they got in a hit or two, but Takamura is so tough he never noticed
Sendou... he just had bad luck, a punch from six class above him + no guard + angry Taka = the KO was a mercy
good to see that mashiba has some common sense and survival instinct, he agreed to team-up with the other boxers, for Kumi-chan but still

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Andarion In reply to neogoki [2011-08-05 22:55:28 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh, thanks I didn't recognize him, to be frank I forgot about him XD Now I know all the guys whom Takamura beat up, it felt strange to me that Fuji would get into a fight, now all makes sense

They probably felt like mosquito bitings, annoying and nothing more XD Though I'd laugh my ass off if Takamura appeared in the next chapter all beaten up, not that it will happen of course but would be fun. And I wonder what the hell happened to Date's pants XD
Guard? What Guard! The punch sent him into the ceiling, even if he had a guard up it wouldn't help him XD
Well I think it was mostly for Kumi's sake. Still to see that Demon Mashiba get beaten up like it was nothing... Takamura is really a monster.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

neogoki In reply to Andarion [2011-08-06 05:37:41 +0000 UTC]

he did change a lot, that and some massive art-evolution, the autor is also good at "ageing" his charas, even a secondary like okita, so no sweat for not remembering him

date's pants: he pissed off takamura the most, by they are proably in some river or trashcan

word of god says:
Takamura is on par or slightly above Ricardo Martinez, makes one wonder what happens if he finds a KO-Pattern/Sunday-punch

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Andarion In reply to neogoki [2011-08-06 09:00:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah Ippo is a great example, from a small chubby-like guy to a tall, lean and mean fighting machine XD Though the one who changed the most is Hammer Nao, damn I couldn't believe that it's the little shy Geromichi.

Or Takamura punched him so hard that Date fell victim to Clothing Damage XD Poor Kumi-chan to witness such stuff

Wai-wai-wai... He is stronger than Ricardo Martinez? The guy who Pwned Date TWICE!? Well he IS a couple of weight classes higher...
Takamura with Sunday Punch... it would be like Kenpachi getting a bankai.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

neogoki In reply to Andarion [2011-08-06 11:51:56 +0000 UTC]

ippo, tall and mean? XD
Geromichi was extreme, all he kept were his lips and nose(rare for a boxer)

"poor" Kumi got so angry, even her bro was quietly sitting and ippo got scared... maybe she even scared off Fuckamura?

or on par with Martinez, found something like that on TVTropes,
also adding Takamura's talent, his natural instincs, training from hell AND the spirit the Coach gave him.
Takamura might just win against the featherweight's monster-King

Or like Rakan... on a sunday

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Andarion In reply to neogoki [2011-08-09 00:26:28 +0000 UTC]

But a fighting machine XD A kind, stuttery fighting machine.
Yeah I'm through that part and Damn Geromichi sure showed some spirit I can't wait for his come-back

Yeah after all Takamura has a sister, perhaps he knows what a pissed off sister is capable of XD And I got to the Three Ladies War, Mari, Nanako and Kumi fighting over Ippo XD The guy sure go popular

Well Takamura is damn fast and strong so he could win by the power and weight advantage alone... it would be an awesome fight though, I REALLY enjoyed the beating Takamura gave to that asshole Hawk... but it turned out that Takamura is not much better than Hawk XD

Yeah, Rakan on Sunday who doesn't feel like fighting seriously and uses ONLY a bit of his power... still enough to slaughter armies.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

neogoki In reply to Andarion [2011-08-09 06:56:03 +0000 UTC]

BTW, Takamura shares his seiyuu not only with Rakan but with Kenshiro(Fist of the Northstar) and Kogoro Mori(Detective Conan), the latter is not that awesome, but Kenshiro is the original Badass warrior.

he was so shy, never could spell out how much he admired his sempai

Takamura's sis has been shown to be a kind, gentle older sister, but given her Takamura-blood odds are she has power hidden deep inside.
Ippo has no clue about girls, his natural timidness makes it only worse, I sense an allout war coming...

That was an epic Beatdown, once it comes to spirit noone can beat the boxers from the Kamogawa gym. Even better Hawk was hollow, no backbone just pure ego. After that Fight, if he had just claimed that there already chaimpions in japan, he would have been loved.
While Takamura is often on Ego-trips, prank-attacks and generally selfish, at the end of the day he cares about others, namly his nakama, his coach and the Miyatas.

if feels lazy he could just blown them with one attack.

ColinatorGX [2011-08-03 22:44:59 +0000 UTC]

That should NOT be physically possible.
Then again, neither should dodging God's DELETE button, but it's a breeze for Rakan.
I wonder what kind of entrance test their AGCB ( Awesome GAR Club of Awesomeness) has.
