This was a very good movie, but it's sad it was a box office bomb.

Hugo was cited as one of the year's notable box office flops despite garnering praise from critics. The film gained $15.4 million over the Thanksgiving weekend and almost $74 million domestically, barely half of its $170 million budget, even though it made strength overseas.

The reason why it was a bomb because it tried to compete against Disney's The Muppets and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Some people can't tell the difference between movies and art.
