Hmm. Who owns the throne? A goddess of weather? ^.-Usually the people see all kinds of shapes in the clouds. It depends on many things, what someone see in it. Also needful a good timing, because the clouds always changing. They say, there is something in them... something what react to thoughts and feelings, as if they would be living. Who knows... but one thing sure: Your clouds works very well! Just like the real clouds. O_o
Because i see a woman in them:  Full_Pic & Enlarged (Sorry, I did scrabble/scribble your beautiful art, but just wanted to show you, circa what i see. ^.^) If a little bit we more to concentrate, we could to see other form/figure... but first i noticed the woman. Hah.  We could play the game: Who sees what in your cloud.

Very beautiful deep colors, really make lifelike the picture. Usually i don't love the artifical element in a landscape, but i guess now the farm and farm-houses is an exception. They fit under the clouds well. It is interesting, that the house color is garish, nonetheless does not get the focus immediately. As if it would be the part of land.
Truly dark colors... but not feel it so loury/gloomy. Rather to feel the respect and a kind of beauty. O_o Happiness? As if this is would be a good thing, awaited thing. ^.^

Hah. Amazing artwork. (In the most positive sense of the word).

Thanks very much!  I was trying to find a title for this picture and for some reason, the image of this western U.S. landmark came to mind:  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Wh… . It's not a cloud, but there are similarities

I love that you see a female figure in my painting -- This did not occur to me, but your drawing makes it very clear.  I am flattered that you can see something like this, as I agree that it would be a sign that this cloud is closer to nature than it might be otherwise   That's a very intriguing idea that there is something in clouds that reacts to our thoughts and feelings -- It sounds almost like a kind of shamanistic idea.  I read once of a famous experiment involving human emotions and their effect on a glass of water.  It seemed to be true that there is some kind of relationship between our pyches and that fundamental element.

The bright red building is actually an old painted barn -- There used to be a lot of them in northern Indiana, but nowadays, many have been replaced by much less interesting structures of corrugated metal.  Maybe in 100 years, however, when those structures are rusted and weather-worn, they will be interesting too!

Thanks again for your good and thoughtful words!

LOL - "There are similarities." Yeah. If not else, the cloud and the mountain is also both a "thing"... or... "concept"... if nothing else, "words"...  XD
But i just kidding, sometimes need to some friendly teasing.
Interesting, i guess i see somewhere before this mountain or  very similar landscape in some movies. Maybe badge or symbol of nature protection organization... Very familiar.
Yeah, white and proud. There is indeed a resemblance to the picture. ^.^

Hmm. Yeah. The contact with the material... I think everything is energy... i mean everything is build or connected some kind of energy. The throught, and feelings are also "mental" energies... I guess... ^.^
Me too, i read to the articles about this theme. I "experimented" with it, but with plants.
When I went to college, and i came home every  two weeks or one weeks. There was a little flower that almost withered. I wrote on sticky note: "I love you." and then put it under the flower-tile. The little flower within a few weeks, again it grew and become nice-green.
Coincidence? Maybe...
Hah... At once, some of my friends and i saw a "Snoopy-head clouds". From the side, it was totally him. O_o None of us had a camera. We looked at it for a long time until it disappeared.
By the way, most of our body is made up of water.
Why not we could connect with the cloud?
Perhaps this  nature element is easiest to synchronize with our own mind, or own existence.

Hah. The movie called "Twister" came to my mind and te red barn .  (pic from here )
Pff... Poor movie barn.
Hmm... Those big red barn a kind of renowned specialty of the USA and "Western" films, at least i think. ^.^ If farm, then "sure".
The movies, novels and news almost never show the reality, but sometimes show some interesting things. Sometimes i feel that, the Europe countries  know a lot more about america than the American countries about Europe. Because of the lot of stars and movies.
Back to the barn. O_o (It was sounds a little bit funny.)
Very strange... The people are only interested in something when if that it's new or ruined. O_o
I guess I haven't seen these "new" buildings you are talking about.
Hah. Maybe it will appears in your artworks.

You're very welcome! ^.^ My pleasure!

Ha -- True!  That particular landmark appears in a lot of calendars and picture books of the U.S. national parks.  It would not surprise me if some nature protection organization uses it as a symbol.  Curiously, there is a large insurance company in the U.S. that uses the Rock of Gibraltar as its trademark.  I guess big rocks are assuring in some way

I agree that all things are energy in one form or another.  Thought may perhaps be energy as well, although science cannot yet quantify it.  Perhaps this is why your flower recovered, because you send it a nourishing thought?  I think it's indeed possible.  There are New-Age ideas about "manifesting" things in your life that you might want or need.  My first reaction is "no, that's nonsense," and yet I have seen it work, too.  It could be coincidence, God, the saints, or who-knows-what, but there seems to be a connection between imagining a thing and seeing it appear in real life.  The example that everyone knows is the parking space that "magically" appears right in front of the department store, even though it is the last weekend before Christmas and the whole world is shopping!  Coincidence?  Maybe

That's probably true about Europe knowing more about America than American knows about Europe.  It's funny, but a lot of the stereotypes that we hold concerning Europe seem to date to the Second World War, when there were a lot of American soldiers in Europe (and the South Pacific).  In general, Americans are an insular people, which is not good considering how much our government tries to be involved in world affairs.

Here are some pictures of typical "new" barns:  www.menards.com/main/building-…

The advantage of these buildings is that they are cheaper and more durable than wooden structures.  I suppose they are nice enough, but they do not have the same charm and character as the old buildings.  Oh well, times change I guess!

I read you 5 X 5 on that.  We got the big art show this weekend, my brother has exhibited once.  This is a large event, and artists come from all over this state.  Much leatherwork and crafts but some fine art.  Until I got on the net I never showed anyone what I had drawn, and I am still self conscious about it.  Still, that picture shows a hell of a lot of talent and might be a good direction for you.

Sounds like a cool show -- something for everyone.  It's funny, but I just heard that some local group is staging an art show in a couple of months -- The catch is that they only want art that depicts herons in some way.  Bizarre.

Definitely appreciate the encouragement -- One of these days I will get off my ass and just do it.

LOL -- I've seen the seagulls here, too.  The "lone dory" is a popular subject as well.  Over in Vermont they like cows, red barns, and covered bridges.

Ha ha!  Regionalism is a riot.  I have seen enough of that symbol of New Mexico to last me forever.  www.symbolic-meanings.com/wp-c…   Here it is the lone fiberglass extremely expensive yacht crewed by rich old men that is really hot.  I won't go to the art show, I won't pay to get into anything nowadays.  Oh, and sportfish.  Lots of sportfish.

Urgh... It's Kokopelli...  I remember when that thing invaded California in the mid-80s.  For a while, you saw it everywhere...  That, and the coyotes wearing bandannas.

We don't get much sportfishing imagery up here, which is a bit surprising, now that I think about it.  You can still see the occasional "windjammer" painting, though I believe those are a bit passe these days.  The antique shops are packed with them, however.

I'm with you when it comes to paying for the opportunity to buy stuff.  Seems like a crock of doo-doo to me.

BillyDBunny In reply to Andibi [2019-07-05 23:38:00 +0000 UTC]

The windjammers only existed for a few years, the idea was sound but the concept was far too late to even try.  I would think Maine a fishing paradise.  I don't know about coyotes and bandannas but you sure see a lot of dogs wearing them in Austin.

Andibi In reply to BillyDBunny [2019-07-06 01:37:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I think steam powered ships were well along by then.

There's a fair amount of fishing up here, but it's mostly professional --  There are diehard surf fishers and such, but navigating the coast around here can be really tricky if you didn't grow up on a local boat.  I don't think the fish are much to write home about, either.  But what do I know  -- Cane-pole fishing from a pier on some lake is about the sum total of my fishing experience.

Bandanna-wearing dogs...  The pet-owner equivalent of too many bumper stickers...

BillyDBunny In reply to Andibi [2019-07-06 02:16:53 +0000 UTC]

I knew that about the difficulty of navigation around Maine, and our surf fishers are die hard also.  Cane pole from a pier is the only way to go.  Used to anyone could do it, now it takes a license.  My fave fishing moments were by myself with a hand line.  Austin is ground zero for bandana dogs chasing frisbies.

Cool -- Sometimes we would get our licenses at the Wal-Mart; other times we would just be vewwy quiet...  We threw everything back anyway.

Dogs...  I like them OK, but wouldn't want to own one.

BillyDBunny In reply to Andibi [2019-07-06 13:10:15 +0000 UTC]

I ususally get my license at Wal Mart much as I dislike them.  Dogs are more trouble than cats but they give unconditional loyalty and obedience.  Our last one, my sister's, died recently.  I took her from a litter a neighbor on the river was giving away.  The dog I selected she gave to someone else, I have always felt bad about that.  These people out there treated animals like old cars.

Andibi In reply to BillyDBunny [2019-07-06 22:41:36 +0000 UTC]

Got to admit that Wal-Mart is handy and cheap.  We never had any trouble with the DNR, but any time we heard that "they had a boat in the water," we were always careful to get those licenses.  Which was most of the time, actually.

Understand about dogs -- My mom just got one after years without, and all I hear from her is how much trouble and expense he is.  I'm guessing it's tough for any pet to be transferred away from their home -- We have a couple of pound cats that can be a real pain sometimes, but I couldn't bring myself to take either of them back.  One of them supposedly came from Tennessee, so one day I tried my best "Southern drawl" on her and it was really weird how her head and ears popped up.  She came running toward me like she had a hundred questions.  It was funny, but a little sad, too.

BillyDBunny In reply to Andibi [2019-07-06 22:56:34 +0000 UTC]

How funny and sad about the cat.  Pet ownership is total commitment.  Once I was taking a cat who had been run over to the pound, shelter, what have you, and a man and wife and their two kids were bringing in two Dachshund puppies because "they did not realize how much trouble they were".  Now I feel awful about the cat, I should have kept it.  It just wanted to love me and be loved.  I used to be heartless about some things, I feel so bad about that now.  The kitty could have lived, I should have at least tried and failing that shot him while he was eating a special meal so that he never knew that the one person his life revolved around didn't want him.  He wasn't my cat but I still feel horrible, may God forgive me.  This is why I do not resent how terrible my life is, I deserve much worse.  MeeMee is sitting on my keyboard and she has no idea what sort of person she is purring about and messing up my typing.

Andibi In reply to BillyDBunny [2019-07-07 03:29:10 +0000 UTC]

Well, you did more for that cat than most would have done.  Under those circumstances, I'm not sure it would have occurred to me to keep the cat, either.  Seems to me that the important part is that your intent was good and that you acted on your intent.  Everyone can do more, but it's hard to know where to draw the line and it's sure you can't save them all.  You left that cat in a better place and even if euthanasia was his lot, that's a kinder end than starving to death or being eaten by coyotes because too injured to run away.  As I see it, there's nothing to forgive.  The cats you have now are very fortunate.

Your words are well chosen.  Most kind of you to say.  I will always feel bad, that would not happen now.  All I can do is try and make everyone, cat, dog, humans, just a little happier if I can.  There is not much I can do.  I had to wait til this morning to answer you, clearly I need to not air my inadequacies in so public a manner.  Many thanks.

I also really like that you include the moon in your day paintings. It brings me back to my childhood, when I spent my time on my grandparents farm, running free in the fields like that, with such clouds and moon hanging above

thanks

Thank *you*!     That's great that you were able to spend time on a farm -- There's something really wonderful about the fields, the animals, and the lifestyle.  My aunt and uncle had a farm and we used to go there in summertime when I was a kid.  A lot of this painting is based on my memories of that time

Spending my childhood on the farm was one of the best things that could happen to me-I count myself as very fortunate. Memories of that time are one of my best ones.
This painting of yours reminds me so much of that place, and the sense of freedom and wonder.

Once again-beautiful painting
