Description
On March 15th, Julius Caesar was assassinated by 23 stab wounds.
The parchment tells us a story.
"Bellum modo finitum erat. Aliquis adhuc pugnabat, caligine densa et cupiditate
praeteritorum triumphorum obscuratus.
Flores, sola culpa nati in solo perditae fidei corrupto, numquam suam pulchritudinem mundo ostendent.
Folia in longinquo autumno delapsae pacis amissae memoriam tulerunt."
"The war had just ended. Someone was still fighting, obscured by the dense fog and by an insatiable desire for a fleeting victory.
The swords remained, still bleeding, perhaps out of sadness, perhaps out of pity.
The blood, which had recently stopped flowing, resumed its course down the cliff once more, even on this day, at the rising of spring. It was absorbed by the thirsty rocks, never reaching the foot of the mountain.
The songs that could have been inspired by that battle would never emerge from the fog, and the war would dissolve there, along with the fallen heroes.
The flowers would never reveal their beauty to the world, stained by the only fault of being born on a soil corrupted by betrayal.
The leaves, fallen in the distant autumn, carried the memory of a lost peace."
About the project
It is known that when you have to study for university exams you are particularly creative. It's exactly in this period that I started this project that was supposed to keep me busy for a couple of hours. However, I got carried away by my imagination and here we are, a project that was simply supposed to be a tribute to the Hard Style music, has transformed, +130 hours of editing later, into a consideration on the contrast between peace and war, which unfortunately many of us are experiencing firsthand in these moments.
With this project I finally managed to fulfill my little dream, to create something that has a story. It is in fact one of my first times that I have edited something like this and the numerous hours spent for its realization have been a real journey since, starting from editing as a perfect beginner and learning a lot along the way, I have come to a result which I am happy to share with you. Being practically one of my first works, criticisms are welcome
