I interpret the white aura around each figure from antiquity as the illumination given off FROM the figure at the front, the Prophet himself. Wherever he was, the world was greatly illuminated by His presence. To me, all the figures represent the multiple beliefs of mankind from around the world, of their own prophets, all enlightened yet being further enlightened by The Prophet. Frankly, I see him as Jesus. I see his feet in blue, representing water, which symbolizes baptism. It's as if to say "all who came before bear witness" of the baptism of the Prophet. Such symbolism is powerful in this image.
