Man i love you thanks for sharing my god!!!!! this portrait is in a league of its own,,, like i started photography not so long ago and i was very wary of shooting portraits ya know avoid anthing that involves people, so i have been trying to flip that anyway i just want to say your stuff is something to aspire to like the sort of grittyness and softness you capture in the same image belissimo

it is the 5D and the grain is somethng i mix in after - to make the eyes stand out I use a reflector - as you can see here, the sunlight is from behind to his right and the reflector (see catchlight in eyes) is positioned to the left slightly under the face, just like a foldaway mirror.
NATURAL IS BEST.....
