Swims peacefully in the coastal seas of Arkana. Uses its protecting armor as deterrent for many predators, nothing scares a Dermarine.

This pokemon is based on Pteraspidomorphs, a group of fish-like vertebrates which lived during the Ordovician. They didn't developed articulated jaws but possessed dermal plates to protect the body. Dermarine evolutionary line is inspired by armored fishes, very common in the Paleozoic seas, where they developed very bizarre shells with unique shapes.
