Thorakite / The Happiness Pokémon

Jumps out of the water soaring nimbly in the air showing its naive and playful nature. According to the rites of the local tribes, Thorakite is the protector of children, and toys are built with his features.

This pokémon is modeled after Thoracopterus, a flying fish that lived in the Upper Triassic. Fossils of this animal have been found also in Italy, particularly in Preone, not far from where I actually live. Along with the other two evolutions of Furtide constitutes a trio based on three Chinese deities, the wise San Xing. Thorakite represents Lu Xing, the star of abundance, symbol of happiness.
