I've never heard of that, sorry I don't know what you are referring to.

My main inspiration for the costumes was Fire Emblem.

Was the fairytale about a princess who was forced to switch places with an evil maid before meeting her betroth?

I haven't read the original fairy tale. In the book that Hale wrote her guards and lady in waiting rebel and try to kill her. So the princess flees for her life and hides her identity as a goose girl. I think it is basically the same with a few changes.

I once had this huge volume of classical fairytales (including the Cinderella that said the stepsisters chopped their feet.) The Goose girl was one of them. Unfortunately, I can't find it...I think the spine broke so my mom dumped it.

woah Growing up we also a really fat book full of classical fairytales. Many of them were just plain weird and gruesome.

I would definitely recommend finishing her other Books of Bayern then: Enna Burning, River Secrets, and Forest Born.

Princess Academy and Book of a Thousand Days were entertaining, but they both had things I did and did not enjoy. I think they were met with a younger audience in mind though.

Not Austenland was extremely funny - in an over-the-top Jane Austen way (as in similar as and in making fun of ways). There is some mild cussing in this one.

Now another LDS fantasy author I wholeheartedly recommend is Jessica Day George. I love the Dragon Slippers Trilogy, the Princess of the Midnight Ball and its companion Princess of Glass both hold a soft place in my heart, and I love Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow simply because it is a retelling of a lesser known fairytale.

Anyways happy hunting/reading!

Haha, you're welcome!

Oh which reminds me, perhaps my favorite LDS fiction series is the Rhea Jensen Series by Sheralyn Pratt. Just while we are on the topic of books

To be honest, I never looked into LDS fiction authors and I love to read books.

I go through stages where I will read a ton and then read basically none at all. But I do like the Rhea Jensen series because they're fast-paced and witty, plus I like following along Rhea, a private investigator, as she's exposed to the church. In fact these books are one of my all time favorite series

What else? Anita Stansfield is quite popular, she primarily writes LDS romantic fiction, you can find a list of her books here [link] . Oh hers I would particularly recommend the Jayson Wolfe series and the Keane-Morrison series.

For actual LDS fiction it's hit and miss for me. Some books and authors are absolutely wonderful, others are completely cheesy, awful writing that is so distracting, that it is difficult to find even the slightest entertainment within the pages.

But at least here's some more books to get you started if you so wish
