The standard Kani heavy attack ship the Beast carries 2 gigantic βbusterβ missiles that carry their own protective field generators that are stronger than the parent ship. Fired in unison with 2 scammer missiles carried under the forward fuselage the Buster follows the smaller 2 missile while they pump out massive amount of electromagnetic and microwave interference to neutralise the target defences. This is not their only function, the Scammers also target the same point and upon impact release an intense burst of ion radiation which temporally overwhelms energy and force shields leaving the target hull unprotected for the Buster to hit seconds later and punch deep within the target before detonating.Related content

torpedoes and missiles are the same thing for different environments - water and air.
Maybe in space it could get another name ...

Interesting idea on the missiles. Sound more like a naval torpedo. Not that this is a bad thing. It's a well tested and effective way to turn a warship into an artificial reef.
I'd suggest maybe adding a few more scammers to it's load out. send a dozen or so in ahead of the torpedo/Busters. the scammers jink and maneuver with one at random taking Point so to speak. Once the missiles get into their final approach any surviving Scammers go for the target point.
Just an idea, based on my if one decoy is good a dozen might be better
