Okay I have a lot of things to say about this picture and it's Layer x Signas depiction so listen up!

-I like Layer paired up with Signas
-I don't hate Layer (Parts of her design do bug me though.)
-Yes I like Zero with Iris NOT Layer
-No I am not pairing up Layer with Signas to keep her away from Zero. In fact, if we ever got a MMX9 and the Zero x Layer pairing was given more development, I'd probably ship it but as of right now I'm just not convinced that Zero likes Layer romantically. I don't think he's stupid. I think he knows Layer likes him but I also think he's not attracted to her. Asking her to be his navigator is not proof that he likes her.
-I admit most of the reasons why I ship them are just made up. I believe that Zero could not make Layer happy. Zero is still kinda hung up on the past and I think being around him would honestly depress her. If Layer knew about Iris she'd probably drop being interested in him. That's a lot of baggage.
-I personally believe Layer is a relatively new reploid who was built some time after X6 but that's just me. I don't know if it's ever been mentioned when she was built.
-I actually have a lot of sympathy for Layer. I too was shy and easily flustered around my crushes, even the ones that didn't notice me. I want her to be happy and I think Signas is a good option for her.
-My personal belief is that Signas knew Layer before the event's of X8 and he liked her but believed a relationship with her would be inappropriate as he's commander and she's a navigator. I think he also knew that she had a crush on Zero hence why he assigned her to work with him and because he wanted her and Zero to be happy. He believed Zero needed someone in his life since the events of X4 were so devastating to him although this thought made him a little jealous. X had also been trying to set them up for a while. When they finally do go on a date it doesn't go well as Zero acts very distant and cold about his past. The date ends with Zero telling her sorry he's just not interested but they can still be friends. Layer is hurt by this and Signas/X are both upset and they tell Zero bluntly that he needs to get over the Repliforce Incident. Zero says he is over it but that Iris is the only woman in his heart now and always. Here Signas is trying to comfort Layer as she's heartbroken.
-Eventually, Alia convinces Signas to ask Layer out and while he isn't Zero, she realizes that he is the kind've man she needs.
-Lastly, I don't think I need to defend why I ship Zero with Iris over Layer.
-To the minority who hate Zero x Iris and Iris as a character I don't need to defend why I like the pairing or the character. Don't follow me if you don't like it. Please don't leave any hateful comments. I really don't care.
