I was never really a "Jag" sort of person I'm aware that he and Jaina are the "it" couple of their generation now, but back when I actually liked Jaina (i.e. before the Vong war and before she killed her twin, my favorite character) I liked seeing her bond with the Coruscant street rat. I still have a lingering fondness for those Young Jedi Knights days.

Anyway, as much as I like this picture, looking at it makes me kind of sad. Because as of the start of the Fate of the Jedi series, most of them are dead, and only one relationship still exists (Han and Leia), whereas the others have all fallen by the wayside.
And GOD! I hate the Jaina/Jag ship with an unbridled passion! And the fact that it will probably be canon just about makes me want to go on a murderous rampage!
(sigh) Oh well. Still, it's a nice picture.

Wow, that's one big family! It's easy to see where you can spin off new stories about the Skywalkers and the Solos, just as long as you don't fall into the trap of literally making it a "space (soap) opera". Those kinds of suds should stay on Earth!

It was meant to be a couples pic, and Ben doesn't have a girlfriend yet. I guess you could count his crush on Nelani, but she's already dead and she wasn't around when the pic was originall drawn...

'Cause it's not a total family pic. It's actually a couples pic. If it were a family pic, then Shmi, Ben, and Allana would all be in there. (Though actually, Allana probably wouldn't be, since I drew this before she was born...)
