Description hey hey hey!! its been a while hasn't it??

anywho, back to the picture itself, which i'll be blunt, is very awkward indeed!

Introducing Chalicothere (cah-lee-ko-theer), the prehistoric relative of the horse (as well as the rhino and the tapir). Chalicothere didn't have hooves, instead had claws. They walked on their knuckles, and used their long forelimbs to reach for tree branches.

Twilight and Spike tried to use Time magic again, and wound up going back much farther than they wanted. This Chalicothere they ran into, doesn't know what to make of his much smaller successor.

Don't mind if I use the beast for an image I'm making?

Little known fact: Chalicotherium was great at throwing boulders at enemy tribes in Ark.

I like to imagine about this too! I would love this as comic. Twilight accidents send her friends and herself into the era called the Oligocene and meet the cousin specie and ancestor specie of them like the Chalicothere and the Mesohippus. But the best is encounter the creatures that eat them like Dinictis and Hyaenodon.

Spike looks like he's coming out of the ponys butt, due to lack of body!

Is he coming out of her butt?

I have something similar, a project called Pony Prehistory. You should see it.

A very interesting concept. Ponies meet their equivalent of a cavemen.

You mean neanderthal. Modern horses aren't direct descendents of chalicothere.

Chalicotheres and horses are close relatives, same with Hyracotherium, Propalaeotherium (their ancestors), Macrauchenia, Toxodon, and Elasmotherium.

I am do not know about the background of horse evolution, so please don't direct that point against me.

If I may suggest something, try coloring the legs furthest from the viewer slightly darker than the ones closer.

That said, yay for the awesome equine ancestor.
